About the job

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in security engineering, DevSecOps, or platform/infrastructure engineering with a strong security focus; Staff-level candidates should have 8 or more years and a track record of building security functions or programs.
  • Hands-on cloud security experience across compute, networking, identity and access management, key management, and logging on a major cloud provider.
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code skills, especially Terraform, including policy-as-code.
  • Experience building CI/CD security controls, including static application security testing, software composition analysis, secret scanning, dependency scanning, and container scanning, into developer workflows.
  • Hands-on vulnerability management at scale, including triage, prioritization, service-level-agreement-driven remediation, and automation.
  • Working knowledge of SOC 2 or comparable frameworks and experience implementing and evidencing controls in an engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with modern cloud security tooling categories, including cloud security posture management, application security posture management, static application security testing, secret scanning, compliance automation, and security information and event management.
  • Coding and scripting ability to build automation, pipelines, modules, and tooling that scale security across services.
  • Experience standing up or maturing an in-house security function.
  • Multi-cloud exposure and experience securing an internal developer platform.
  • Experience designing security monitoring, detection, and alerting.
  • Experience applying artificial intelligence or large language model tooling to security operations, including auto-remediation, evidence generation, and agentic workflows.
Responsibilities
  • Own the engineering side of the SOC 2 Type 2 compliance program by implementing controls, collecting evidence, and maintaining audit readiness.
  • Operate the compliance automation platform, including integrations, evidence pipelines, and mapping controls to their implementation.
  • Productize compliance through policy-as-code, automated evidence generation, and guardrails that allow audits without slowing product delivery.
  • Own cloud security posture management and runtime security tooling, including posture monitoring, container and infrastructure-as-code scanning, and runtime coverage.
  • Triage and remediate findings against demanding service-level agreements, and design automation and alerting to handle volume that manual effort cannot sustain.
  • Build auto-remediation workflows, including artificial-intelligence-assisted pipelines, that detect, file, and safely fix findings with minimal human intervention.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD security gates for static application security testing, software composition analysis, secret scanning, software bill of materials generation, dependency management, and container and infrastructure-as-code scanning as reusable pipeline components enforced through automated policy.
  • Encode security and compliance controls into infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code.
  • Turn prototypes into production-grade, secure-by-default systems with automated guardrails.
  • Build internal tooling that automatically applies appropriate security controls.
  • Build reusable modules, pipeline components, and artificial-intelligence or agentic tooling that turn manual security work into self-service capability.
  • Partner with corporate security and governance, risk, and compliance functions while building and maturing in-house security capability.

About the company

What believers are saying

  • Sage Home Loans won Robinhood: since November 2025, Robinhood Gold members get mortgage rates at least 0.75% below average.
  • Early-career staff move up: a March 2026 list built from promotion, pay and retention data gave Red Ventures Platinum status.
  • Benefits go past basics: US staff and their families get free therapy, plus fertility, adoption and surrogacy support.

What critics are saying

  • Plan on commuting: Red Ventures asks for 3 to 4 office days a week, varying by team.
  • Expect leadership changes: Bankrate named an outside CEO in October 2025, four months after The Points Guy did.
  • Demand swings with the economy: in 2022, Moody's said its consumer finance and travel units fell sharply in the pandemic.

What makes Red Ventures unique

  • It shares a health business with an insurer: RVO Health, co-owned with UnitedHealth Group, runs Healthline and Healthgrades.
  • Bankrate's rate surveys are economic data: in May 2026, the St. Louis Fed's public database added 40 years of them.
  • Red Ventures sells its growth skills too: its RV Home unit embeds data and growth teams inside home-services brands.
