About the job

Requirements
  • A background in platform, DevOps, cloud, or security engineering, with experience building and running infrastructure.
  • Experience owning or heavily supporting a SOC 2 and/or ISO 27001 program and translating control requirements into concrete technical tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure; Google Cloud Platform is preferred, while strong Amazon Web Services or Azure experience is also acceptable.
  • Production experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and continuous integration and continuous delivery, plus enough Go or Python to build required automation.
  • Experience with a GRC automation platform such as Vanta, Drata, or Secureframe; Vanta is a strong plus.
  • Clear, persuasive writing for enterprise security questionnaires and auditor-accepted documentation.
  • Drive to bring work to completion, including following up with control owners across engineering, IT, HR, and legal.
Responsibilities
  • Own compliance frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, and DORA, and run audit cycles from evidence-gathering through the audit room.
  • Operate and automate Vanta by building custom tests in Go or Python, automating evidence collection, and integrating controls into Terraform and GitHub Actions to catch drift in pull requests.
  • Implement technical security-policy measures across Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, and Azure, including access management and reviews, logging, secrets, and hardening.
  • Own security questionnaires and the trust center, and rebuild the answer library to make responses to large bank questionnaires faster.
  • Run vendor security reviews and associated data-protection assessments, including DPIAs, LIAs, and TRIAs, and maintain the risk register.
  • Contribute to platform and reliability work with the team.
Desired Qualifications
  • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor, CISA, Security+, CISM, or CISSP certification.
  • Experience supporting compliance for financial-services or other regulated customers.
  • Vendor-risk (TPRM) experience.

About the company

Validio builds an agentic data observability platform focused on data quality, lineage and cataloguing to help regulated and AI-driven organizations trust their reporting and production AI. The platform runs automated monitoring and anomaly detection across large data sets, with features spanning data quality checks, lineage tracking, and a searchable data catalog for cross-functional business and technical users (not just engineers). Unlike tools that target only engineering observability, Validio emphasizes governance and collaboration across teams, serving customers such as Nordea, Deutsche Glasfaser, Canva, Truecaller, Surfshark and AllianceBernstein. The company aims to expand its go-to-market footprint in the US, UK and Northern Europe and continue product development to better support regulated environments and AI-driven workloads.
