About the company

Space Industries develops space-focused technologies to support human life beyond Earth and apply space-derived resources to Earth needs. It produces critical materials like water harvested from lunar and Martian surfaces and Helium-3 for medical and energy applications, serving clients in aerospace, medical, and energy sectors. Its products work by extracting and processing resources from celestial bodies and turning them into usable water, Helium-3, and related technologies that can be sold to customers; this enables life support in space and new energy/medical options on Earth. The company differentiates itself by focusing on ISRU (in-situ resource utilization) from lunar and Martian environments, integrating space resource extraction with practical Earth applications, and seeking collaboration to scale these technologies. Its goal is to create sustainable solutions that support human presence in space while delivering valuable resources and technology to Earth.

What believers are saying

  • LinkedIn still lists an active Rivervale company page as of August 2026.
  • 2025 maxon collaboration validated industrial interest in lunar mining subsystems.
  • Australia’s 2026 space momentum creates partnership openings for sovereign exploration suppliers.

What critics are saying

  • PitchBook still shows only an accelerator/incubator deal; no commercial scale funding.
  • Factories in Space marked LREV dormant in 2026, signaling stalled execution.
  • Without a flight demo, helium-3 economics stay theoretical and company viability breaks.

What makes Space Industries unique

  • Space Industries targets lunar water and helium-3, not generic satellite software.
  • Its LREV concept combines ISRU mining, oxygen production, and rover autonomy.
  • Few Australian peers pursue resource extraction for lunar life support and terrestrial markets.
