Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop diesel high-pressure pump diesel fuel-injection components.
  • Devise and execute testing and analysis of fuel-injection equipment on rigs, engines, and vehicles.
  • Contribute to formal and informal design and development reviews at appropriate project stages.
  • Strip down and investigate mechanical failures and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Write reports and present results to internal and external audiences.
  • Organize procurement and testing of sample hardware to meet project and objective requirements.
  • Analyze customer and legislative test requirements and formulate technical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Prepare and define simulation models to support development analysis.
  • Develop and use test equipment and instrumentation.
  • Interpret test data, synthesize results, and report findings.
  • Gain exposure to high-precision manufacturing technologies required to produce advanced prototypes.
  • Define and execute test plans to provide feedback on development and project objectives.
  • Assess designs using established Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis methods to develop robust products.
  • Contribute to project reviews and product development.
  • Analyze test and simulation data and make recommendations for further testing or product improvement.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis methodology.
  • Experience designing and developing products through all stages of the product life cycle, from concept through volume manufacturing to service-only status.
  • Experience with reliability assessment and accelerated or aggravated test development, including correlation to the customer environment and duty cycle.
  • Experience working with engineering technicians.

Phinia Inc reported strong second-quarter 2026 results, with net sales of $940 million, up 5.6% year-over-year.
