Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco Network equipment.
- Extensive Network troubleshooting experience.
- Able to work with other people.
- Able to work independently without supervision.
- Strong organization and Network planning.
- Ability to work extra hours and work on an on-call rotation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Travel required as necessary.
- Knowledge of Cisco Nexus/NX-OS ISr.routers, Cisco Catalyst Switches, Cisco Wireless Access Points, F5, Citrix Netscaler and ACE products.
- Experience with DNS and DHCP and fully understand the system process.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve Network related issues escalated from the CSC organization and Corporate Network Engineer organization.
- Plan and design the future corporate Network, lab testing new equipment and processes, creating support documentation and procedures for the corporate data Network.
- Install, configure and maintain new equipment and software for Networks.
- Utilize monitoring tools to evaluate Network performance and determine where changes are needed to growing areas in the Network.
- Maintain Network drawings and documents with current configurations and supporting data (i.e. circuit ID’s).
- Document Network problems and resolution for future reference.
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or equivalent are a plus, but not necessary.
