- Five to seven years of experience.
- Proficiency with Java and Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE).
- Experience with Swing/Java Swing, Struts Framework, TopLink, WebLogic, Oracle, application components, database interfaces, object-oriented design methodology, Java and J2EE 1.4 application development, Unified Modeling Language (UML), servlets, JavaServer Pages (JSP), Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) 2.0, Java Message Service (JMS), Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), Java Transaction API (JTA), Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI), Java Management Extensions (JMX), and Java Authentication and Authorization Service (JAAS).
- Knowledge of all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements definition, specifications, development, testing, product release, and maintenance engineering.
- Define enterprise architecture to support the company's business strategy.
- Design project architectures and frameworks.
- Research, analyze, design, and deliver solutions.
- Perform design and code reviews on J2EE software components.
- Provide technical expertise across network, security, operating systems, systems software, infrastructure engineering, internet, application, and data architecture.
- Identify and resolve weaknesses in existing architecture.
- Evaluate systems critically and recommend appropriate modern technology and implementation approaches.
