Requirements
  • Must possess a current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in good standing in New York State.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and demonstrate customer service and organization skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment, under pressure, and harmoniously with all staff.
  • Must be genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and challenging residents.
Responsibilities
  • Safely transport residents to and from scheduled therapy sessions and the rehabilitation gym when a transporter is unavailable.
  • Assist physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists by preparing, cleaning, and maintaining treatment areas and equipment.
  • Ensure residents are safe, comfortable, and supported during transport and therapy.
  • Communicate with therapy and nursing teams regarding resident schedules and needs.
  • Maintain and restock therapy supplies and monitor equipment for safety and cleanliness.
  • Support therapy documentation processes, including filing, organizing, and retrieving resident records.
  • Assist nursing staff with resident care consistent with Certified Nursing Assistant duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation or Rehabilitation Manager.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior rehabilitation technician experience is a plus.
