Requirements
  • Two years of supervisory experience are required.
  • Proficiency in revenue cycle functions related to coding is required.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are required.
  • The ability to analyze work, set goals, develop plans, and use time effectively and efficiently is required.
  • Experience with revenue cycle systems, such as EPIC, is required.
  • Strong execution skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the organization's values.
  • Perform tactical planning and carry out the strategic plan while effectively managing staff resources within budget and quality standards.
  • Develop staff and manage performance within areas of responsibility, translating the departmental vision into meaningful and effective results.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and prepare status reports for management to analyze trends and determine opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the daily operations of the departmental unit and manage departmental staff performance using data, including key performance indicators and metrics.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator), RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician), CPC (Certified Professional Coder), or CCS (Certified Clinical Supervisor) certification is preferred.
