About the job
- Experience in business development or capital raising, preferably with a background in investment banking or capital raising.
- Series 79 and Series 63 licenses, or the ability to pass the Series 82 and Series 63 securities examinations; candidates with existing licenses are sought.
- Familiarity with fundraising for private equity, venture capital, or hedge funds.
- Good project and time-management skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Work on five funds at a time and develop, maintain, and grow key relationships with private equity funds, venture capital funds, and hedge funds.
- Market funds seeking capital raises to registered investment advisers, family offices, funds of funds, private banks, insurance companies, endowments, and foundations.
- Manage business-development activities and distribution channels, including direct contact, warm calls, emails, and other outreach, in alignment with organizational strategy.
- Work daily on a network of wealth-management firms and family offices through email and calls.
- Support capital raising by calling and emailing clients about funds the firm is working on.
- Develop new clients and leads among private equity, venture capital, and hedge fund firms for future and existing business.
- Report on business-development strategy and help execute the capital-raising business in coordination with the CEO.
- Develop and lead business development in managing and implementing fund opportunities and marketing to venture capital, private equity, and hedge funds.
- Plan and execute calls and marketing to ensure effective fund promotion.
- Travel when necessary.
- Strong communication, marketing, sales, and phone skills.
- A strong network of contacts and motivation to succeed in a performance-based environment.
