About the job
- A BTS in book publishing with an edition option, a BTS/DUT in graphic design, or equivalent Bac+2 education is welcomed.
- Training at a publishing, culture, media, or graphic design school at Bac+2 to Bac+5 level, such as a Master's in book and publishing professions or an applied arts school background.
- Specialization in editorial production, digital publishing, or graphic creation is an advantage.
- Training combining editorial and technical/graphic components will be considered.
- Proficiency in the Adobe suite, with Photoshop required.
- Good foundations in image-file preparation, including formats, resolution, color management, file size, and web export.
- Ability to follow lettering and retouching instructions for digital comics.
- Attention to graphic detail, including adherence to style guides and visual consistency across series.
- Proficiency with office and collaborative tools, including Excel or Google Sheets, Notion, and Trello.
- Understanding of an editorial production workflow and publication schedules.
- Ability to process a large volume of files methodically and consistently.
- Fluency in French is required.
- A valid internship agreement is required.
- Receive assets and monitor delivery schedules with partners and service providers.
- Perform technical and qualitative checks on received files.
- Receive final proofs and verify compliance of text, images, formats, and legal notices.
- Report series pauses, delays, resumptions, and contract endings internally.
- Create series in the product information management database.
- Ingest episodes into the content management system according to the schedule approved by editorial assistants.
- Divide episodes into chapters using the internal tool.
- Update the content management system according to the editorial schedule.
- Update the content-ingestion, series-tracking, Notion, and Trello trackers daily.
- Check consistency between publication schedules, trackers, and online content.
- Coordinate with editorial, marketing, and technical teams on blockers.
- Make minor corrections to episodes, including continuity fixes, color adjustments, typographical corrections, and cropping.
- Perform occasional lettering for selected series.
- Create visuals for series updates, including catalog additions, new seasons, season endings, and series endings.
- Professional English for communication with international partners.
- Knowledge of Korean.
- Interest in webtoon culture, manga, or the digital creative industry.
