Requirements
- Considerable experience architecting and developing complex, large-scale, n-tiered applications using Java, Java Platform, Enterprise Edition, JavaServer Pages, Servlets, Struts or Spring, Enterprise JavaBeans 3/3.1, and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, including enterprise service bus technologies.
- Considerable experience developing Java-related enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
- Considerable experience using object-relational mapping frameworks such as Java Persistence API and Hibernate.
- Extensive experience developing robust web services using Simple Object Access Protocol, Web Services Description Language, or Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration.
- Considerable experience using Oracle 10g/11g databases and PL/SQL.
- Extensive design and support experience with WebSphere Application Server and Apache Tomcat Web Server.
- Considerable experience using build tools such as Ant and Maven.
- Extensive experience using Java development integrated development environments such as Eclipse or Rational Application Developer.
- Good understanding of software development life cycle methodologies and experience with all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Knowledge of Drools or another rules engine and messaging infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects and support responsibilities.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science or Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of training and experience related to the duties of the position.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Unified Modeling Language.
- Experience as a team lead, including conducting code reviews.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully interact in a team environment.
