Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a clinical field, healthcare management, business administration, or a related degree, or equivalent experience, is required.
  • Five years of management work experience in an ambulatory care leadership role or appropriate clinical area is required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with physician leaders.
  • Candidates must demonstrate talent in selecting and mentoring a high-quality, effective team.
  • Candidates must be able to lead change, organize teams, and delegate responsibility appropriately.
  • Candidates must be able to use data to drive performance improvement.
  • Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates must have either a bachelor's degree or equivalent progressive work experience, including eight years of progressive work experience and three years of management experience.
  • Candidates must be able to perform the listed physical job functions, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Candidates must be able to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
  • Candidates must be able to work in a latex-safe environment and be physically qualified for respirator use initially and as required.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in long-range strategic planning and short-range implementation to ensure ambulatory clinics are managed consistently using patient-centered service, service excellence standards, and efficient operational processes.
  • Manage two or more professional and support staff, including subordinate managers.
  • Lead the analysis, planning, implementation, expenditures, and budget tracking of major operational projects or initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations to leaders throughout the organization.
  • Manage initiatives, strategic priorities, and programs that affect the organization.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with leadership to support the budget process and meet key operational goals.
  • Plan, organize, facilitate, monitor, and evaluate department or functional business-area activities based on employee and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with leaders to establish operating procedures, enhance clinical and non-clinical workflows, increase productivity, and improve quality outcomes and operational efficiencies across delivery settings.
  • Provide operational oversight to ambulatory leaders.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments on ambulatory quality and safety, care coordination across the continuum, technological tools and solutions, metrics reporting, customer service, and process improvement.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in a healthcare-related field such as Nursing or Healthcare Administration, or an MBA, is preferred.
