- An MD degree with an active, unrestricted medical license, or the ability to obtain licensure, in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
- An active Drug Enforcement Administration registration, or the ability to obtain one without restriction.
- At least 3 years of experience providing medical direction and supervision, particularly with Medicare patients.
- Board certification or board eligibility in General Psychiatry.
- Provide Structured Care Review to primary treating clinicians through systematic case review and treatment plan oversight, averaging 32 review hours per week and 6 to 10 patient reviews per hour, with a focus on Medicare patients in the market.
- Recommend treatment adjustments, including specific medication and laboratory, imaging, or study orders, treatment plan adjustments, and clinical protocols directly to the primary care provider.
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Work with adults, young adults, and/or children.
- Support patients in crisis with appropriate interventions.
- Complete timely, accurate documentation.
- Board certification or eligibility in Geriatric Psychiatry or Consult/Liaison Psychiatry.
- Participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.
