Tech analyst Dan Ives described the recent software stock sell-off as the most disconnected from business fundamentals since the late 1990s, despite fears of AI competition. Microsoft, Salesforce, and ServiceNow have underperformed the broader market this year, with declines of up to 29%. Recent earnings support Ives' bullish stance. Microsoft reported 18% year-over-year revenue growth, with paid Microsoft 365 Copilot seats exceeding 30 million. ServiceNow's subscription revenue grew 23% in constant currency, closing 123 deals over $1 million. Salesforce beat analyst estimates with 14% revenue growth and signed a record 98 deals worth over $1 million in new annual contract value. The results suggest customers are turning to established software providers for AI integration and security, validating these companies' central role in AI infrastructure.
Salesforce announced that the Department of War can now use Agentforce 360 through Missionforce National Security, following Impact Level 5 authorisation. The platform combines real-time data harmonisation with autonomous AI to support sensitive, unclassified missions. Missionforce National Security is expanding across the Intelligence Community. The platform enables agencies to build solutions in unclassified environments and deploy them to the Top Secret Network. Agentforce 360 delivers AI agents, data interoperability, and decision intelligence tools. The platform runs on Amazon Web Services GovCloud, operated exclusively by US personnel. Applications include modernising logistics, improving warfighter support, addressing recruiting deficits, and advancing command decision-making. AI agents can autonomously manage workflows whilst maintaining compliance and auditability requirements.
Salesforce trades at $184, with analysts setting a price target of $259, implying 41% upside driven by strong AI performance. The company's Agentforce annual recurring revenue surged 205% year-over-year to $1.2 billion. Shares are down 30% year-to-date but rebounded 12% last week following first-quarter results. Revenue reached $11.13 billion, up 13.3% year-over-year, whilst earnings per share of $3.88 beat consensus by 24%. Management executed a $25 billion accelerated share repurchase, reducing diluted shares to 871 million from 970 million. Combined Agentforce and Data 360 annual recurring revenue hit $3.4 billion, up over 200% year-over-year. The company guides for fiscal 2027 revenue between $45.9 billion and $46.2 billion, with a fiscal 2030 target of $63 billion.
Accounting Seed has launched Salesforce Hosted Model Context Protocol, enabling finance teams to connect AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini to live accounting data within Salesforce. The platform includes over 20 purpose-built MCP tools at no additional cost for existing customers. Users can query financial information, run reports, and complete accounting tasks through their preferred AI assistant. Because Accounting Seed operates natively on Salesforce, AI can access unified CRM and accounting data rather than isolated datasets. All AI actions operate under existing Salesforce permissions, with data remaining inside the customer's Salesforce environment. Every action is recorded in a full audit trail. The tools are now available to all Accounting Seed customers and require no custom development to implement.
Salesforce collaborates with Vivekananda Hospital to advance ai-powered healthcare. Salesforce announced a collaboration with Vivekananda Hospital Pvt. Ltd. (VHPL) one of West Bengal's leading healthcare providers, to transform patient engagement through a connected, AI-powered platform. Published on: 27 Jul 2026, 5:42 am Salesforce announced a collaboration with Vivekananda Hospital Pvt. Ltd. (VHPL) one of West Bengal's leading healthcare providers, to transform patient engagement through a connected, AI-powered platform. As patient expectations evolve, healthcare providers need technology that connects every interaction across the care journey - from the first community outreach programme or enquiry to ongoing engagement with the hospital. VHPL is addressing this need by bringing together patient and doctor information, field operations, outreach and AI on a single platform, creating a unified digital foundation designed to support more timely, personalised and consistent patient experiences. Built on the Agentforce 360 Platform and integrated with VHPL's Hospital Information Management System (HIMS), the solution connects previously fragmented data and workflows across the organisation. The implementation includes Patient 360, Doctor 360, Beat Planning and Campaign Management, providing teams with a comprehensive, real-time view of patients and doctors while enabling field teams to plan outreach more effectively. Automated workflows help capture, route, track and nurture patient enquiries, while real-time dashboards provide visibility into engagement activity and campaign performance. This collaboration with Salesforce is also modernising how VHPL engages with communities. Through QR-code-enabled campaigns, patient enquiries generated during outreach initiatives can be captured at the point of interaction, centralised on the platform and routed to the appropriate teams for timely follow-up. During VHPL's Mega Health Carnival in January 2026, these connected digital workflows captured more than 600 patient enquiries in just three days, demonstrating how an integrated platform can transform high-volume community engagement into structured, trackable and actionable interactions. Arundhati Bhattacharya, President & CEO at Salesforce - South Asia, said "Healthcare is at an inflection point, where AI has the opportunity to fundamentally transform how organisations engage with patients, empower caregivers, and deliver better outcomes. The future of healthcare will be shaped by organisations that can bring together trusted data, AI, and human expertise to create more connected, personalised, and accessible experiences. We are proud to collaborate with Vivekananda Hospital as they embrace this transformation and build a strong digital foundation for the future of patient care." Soumily Dutta, Director, Vivekananda Hospital Pvt. Ltd., said, "At Vivekananda Hospital, we believe exceptional healthcare begins with understanding every patient - not just clinically, but throughout their entire care journey. By adopting Salesforce's AI-powered platform, we are creating a connected ecosystem that brings together patient engagement, doctor relationships and operational workflows to enable seamless experiences, informed decisions and personalised care. This collaboration marks an important milestone in our digital transformation, helping us make healthcare more accessible, responsive and intuitive while empowering caregivers with intelligent insights and keeping patients at the centre of everything we do. Sumonjit Dutta, Director, Vivekananda Hospital Pvt. Ltd., said, "At Vivekananda Hospital, we believe that quality healthcare begins with understanding every patient better. Our collaboration with Salesforce is helping us build a more connected and intelligent patient engagement ecosystem by giving our teams a unified view of patient information, improving visibility into field operations, and enabling more effective lead management. Looking ahead, VHPL plans to extend its digital transformation journey through AI and agentic capabilities. The organisation is exploring intelligent AI agents that can help patients and their families book appointments and receive guidance on which specialists to consult based on primary symptoms. Available 24/7, these capabilities aim to make healthcare guidance more accessible, responsive, and personalized for patients at every stage of their care journey.
