Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of event planning, banquet operations, conference management, and guest service standards.
  • Proven ability to handle enquiries, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and coordinate events from planning to execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A commercially minded approach with the ability to identify sales opportunities and achieve revenue targets.
  • A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Two to four years of experience in Meetings & Events, Sales, Banquet Operations, or Event Management within the hospitality industry.
  • Experience with hotel property-management systems and sales and catering systems, including Opera Cloud, Anis, Cvent, Passk, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required by business demands.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
Responsibilities
  • Implement all sales activities and maximize business opportunities in the specific area of responsibility under the general guidance and supervision of the Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing or Assistant Director of Sales.
  • Drive, manage, and maintain positive relationships with key accounts and business partners of Accor and the hotel.
  • Work as a team member to create a professional sales team in Accor and the hotel.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets set in the monthly and yearly forecasts and direct efforts toward maximizing hotel revenues and profits across rooms, small meeting conferences, and food and beverage departments.
  • Develop a network of contacts to encourage and secure hotel trials with key decision-makers.
  • Generate and maintain corporate-segment customers through face-to-face sales calls, telephone calls, and entertainment.
  • Maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel through direct sales, telephone, and written communications.
  • Ensure comprehensive coverage of the assigned portfolio, including management of all departments and accounts, to achieve client-servicing targets and maximum productivity.
  • Represent the hotel with professional conduct, confidentiality, and adherence to company and hotel rules and regulations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience in the United Arab Emirates with an international hotel brand is preferred.
  • Additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Customer-focused service orientation.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead event-planning meetings and coordinate with multiple departments.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions during event operations.
  • Excellent time-management and follow-up skills.
