Revvity has launched the GSP T1D 3plex kit, a CE-IVDR-certified solution for early detection of type 1 diabetes in children. The fully automated multiplex autoantibody detection system uses capillary dried blood spots for scalable sample collection and can identify at-risk individuals months or years before symptoms appear. The kit processes samples on Revvity's GSP instrument, a high-throughput platform used in newborn screening. It detects children at risk of developing type 1 diabetes before significant beta-cell damage occurs, potentially preventing life-threatening diabetic ketoacidosis episodes. The solution is designed for emerging national T1D screening programmes and will initially be available in Europe and markets accepting CE IVD-marked products. It is not FDA-cleared for use in the United States.
