Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for fiberglass coating application by cleaning and sanding as needed.
Mix resins and hardeners according to specifications to ensure proper application consistency.
Apply fiberglass coatings to components using either brush or spray techniques to achieve desired thickness and finish.
Monitor the curing process and environmental conditions to ensure optimal coating quality.
Perform quality control inspections on finished products to identify any defects or areas for improvement.
Maintain equipment and tools used in the coating process to ensure they are in good working condition.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
Requirements
Proven experience as a fiberglass coating specialist or in a similar role within the composites industry.
Strong knowledge of fiberglass materials, resins, and application techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and product guidelines.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
