About the job

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in go-to-market engineering, growth, revenue operations, sales operations, marketing operations, or a similarly hands-on commercial systems role.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with HubSpot in production environments, including custom properties, workflows, reporting, integrations, data hygiene, and customer relationship management administration.
  • Experience building attribution and performance reporting across multiple acquisition channels, including Google and Meta, and tying activity back to pipeline, revenue, customer acquisition cost, and return on ad spend.
  • Experience supporting both inbound and outbound growth motions, including targeting, enrichment, sequencing, deliverability, lead routing, conversion tracking, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong working knowledge of modern go-to-market tooling such as Clay, Zapier, Make, Dripify or HeyReach, enrichment providers, call-tracking platforms, and related sales and marketing infrastructure.
  • Real experience using large language models, artificial intelligence agents, and automation in operational workflows to materially improve productivity or eliminate manual work.
  • Strong systems thinking and comfort working with complex, imperfect data, including understanding how data must be structured before building reports, workflows, or automations.
  • Working knowledge of application programming interfaces, webhooks, JavaScript Object Notation, and data integrations.
  • Ability to move between strategy and implementation by understanding the operating model, translating it into working systems, and troubleshooting when reality does not match the design.
  • Strong analytical and financial instincts, with the ability to understand how go-to-market activity translates into revenue, margin, customer economics, and business performance.
  • Comfort working directly with founders, executives, sales teams, marketers, and operators, and willingness to handle detailed implementation work.
Responsibilities
  • Implement Heritage’s proprietary go-to-market measurement, attribution, and productivity methodologies across portfolio companies, including the financial modeling required to connect marketing and sales activity to pipeline, revenue, and customer economics.
  • Stand up and maintain foundational go-to-market systems, generally using HubSpot as the system of record, including customer relationship management architecture, data models, pipelines, custom properties, forms, workflows, integrations, attribution, and executive reporting.
  • Implement and support inbound and outbound pipeline-generation systems, including targeting, list building and enrichment, sequencing, copy, deliverability, website conversion, email, events, referral programs, and paid media tracking.
  • Ensure go-to-market activity can be tied back to revenue through reporting that portfolio company leadership and Heritage partners can trust.
  • Document and memorialize go-to-market playbooks, workflows, system configurations, and operating processes so they can be maintained and replicated.
  • Work with Heritage’s operations leaders and portfolio company executives to roll out new go-to-market systems, drive adoption, troubleshoot issues, and improve execution over time.
  • Help hire, onboard, and support dedicated go-to-market Engineers within portfolio companies who can take ongoing ownership of implemented systems and workflows.
  • Propagate proven practices, workflows, automations, and system configurations from one portfolio company to the next.
  • Standardize go-to-market metrics and reporting across the portfolio so Heritage can evaluate performance consistently and identify areas requiring attention.
  • Implement artificial intelligence agents, automations, and internal tools that reduce or eliminate manual work across sales and marketing processes.
  • Build and maintain artificial-intelligence-enabled, multi-user workflows that allow small sales and marketing teams to operate with substantially greater productivity.
  • Maintain working knowledge of emerging go-to-market tools, artificial intelligence capabilities, and automation technologies, and test and implement useful technologies within Heritage’s existing framework.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or similar tools is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in high-growth startups, founder-led businesses, small businesses, or other resource-constrained operating environments is strongly preferred.
  • Private equity experience is helpful but not required.

About the company

Heritage Holding is a private equity firm that buys majority stakes in founder- and family-led U.S. businesses and grows them over the long term. It typically targets platform investments with enterprise values of $5–$100 million and raises capital from institutions and family offices. The firm differentiates itself through a hands-on, collaborative approach: it provides operational support, partners with existing management, and uses bolt-on acquisitions to scale. Unlike firms focused on short-term exits, Heritage Holding pursues patient, long-duration capital to build durable value rather than financial engineering. Its goal is to create sustainable growth and value by expanding profitable companies across sectors such as business services, healthcare, IT and industrial services, wealth management, and niche areas including MSPs, remote patient monitoring, commercial HVAC, power services, hydrovac, and RIAs managing $200–$750 million AUM.

What believers are saying

  • Glaenzer Electric joined Heritage on April 22, 2026, expanding electrical contracting beyond HVAC.
  • Airside Technology acquisition on July 9, 2026 strengthens Central New York mechanical-services density.

What critics are saying

  • Heritage's 50-plus acquisitions concentrate execution risk if one platform integration fails in 2026.
  • SEC registration began July 26, 2024, so compliance and disclosure discipline are still young.
  • If fundraising slows after Fund I, the long-hold model starves, collapsing deal velocity and hiring.

What makes Heritage Holding unique

  • Founded 2015 by HBS classmates Alex de Pfyffer and Ross Porter, now $220 million Fund I.
  • Heritage Holding closed Airside Technology on July 9, 2026, extending its HVAC roll-up strategy.
  • Its 2026 portfolio spans 50-plus acquisitions across 10-plus platforms, emphasizing hands-on operating support.
