Requirements
- Certified or eligible for certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography (ARRT) (S) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- All sonographers must obtain certification within twenty-four months of eligibility or cross training
- Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment
- Continuing education in compliance with the ARDMS, ARRT or CCI requirements for continuing education appropriate to practice
Responsibilities
- Operates ultrasound scanning equipment to produce records of designated portions of the human anatomy for adult and geriatric patients
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology
- Cardiology: Registered Cardiovascular Technologist with two years cardiac related experience
- Vascular: Registered Vascular Technologist with two years vascular related experience
- OB/GYN: Registered OB/GYN Technologist with at least two years OB/GYN related experience
