About the job
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
- Six years of interaction design experience in product design or user experience design is required.
- A portfolio, website, or other relevant work link must be included in the resume, with a viewable link or access instructions.
- Drive UX strategies and tactical execution for areas of ownership, and define processes and best practices to advance collaboration across Google teams and cross-functional partners.
- Create end-to-end user experience mockups for flows, features, and improvements related to user onboarding, account lifecycle management, and compliance requirements.
- Translate complex legal and policy requirements into simple, elegant, user-friendly design solutions that are easy for parents and children to understand.
- Contribute to product strategy and roadmap discussions, identifying opportunities to improve user experience in onboarding, lifecycle, and compliance domains.
- Solve small-to-medium visual and user interface design issues, aligning with Android and Material design systems and guidelines.
- Apply user-centered design methods to craft user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve Google's design language and build products.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create products.
- Help close gaps that exist for children and families across Google's products.
- A master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Three years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization is preferred.
- Two years of experience leading design projects is preferred.
