Requirements
  • Knowledge of transformer manufacturing processes, including core assembly, winding, insulation, tank fabrication, vacuum processing, oil filling, and testing.
  • Understanding of transformer standards such as IEC 60076, IEEE/ANSI, and customer specifications.
  • Experience with quality tools including FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, APQP, and PPAP.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and test procedures.
  • Strong risk visibility across the supply chain spectrum.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead in ambiguous situations and deal effectively with conflicting priorities and changes.
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to build relationships across multiple organizational layers.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • 10+ years of previous work experience relating to supply chain and program management.
  • Strong project management experience handling multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate, manage, and maintain status on tasks and optimize program output.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with CAD tools, including NX, CATIA, Creo, and SolidWorks; enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP; and manufacturing execution systems such as Simatic IT and Solumina.
  • Experience with Minitab14 analysis tools.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management tools, including Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, and Dassault Innovia.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement supply chain management plans and executable strategies for assigned programs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams from design through manufacturing and delivery.
  • Manage transformer production schedules, capacity planning, and workflow optimization.
  • Drive quality, safety, and compliance standards across manufacturing operations.
  • Coordinate suppliers and materials to ensure on-time production and delivery.
  • Monitor key performance indicators related to productivity, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage supplier performance, including risk management, contingency planning, and issue resolution.
  • Manage and support supply chain content for proposals, including strategies, program plans, and bases of estimate.
  • Liaise with customer and internal functional areas and with domestic and external suppliers to deliver subsystem attributes and ensure parts and components are delivered on time.
  • Manage the risk process, ensuring identified risks are mitigated with supporting plans and stakeholders are informed about task performance, risks, hazards, and opportunities.
  • Lead or support the project rhythm to achieve target plans through the change process, including Product Change Board, Design Definition Review and Audit Meeting, and Design/Technical Review gates.
  • Act as the focal point for the project team and provide work package owners, subsystem managers, and project managers with information needed to control and manage the overall project.
  • Lead implementation programs, including gathering business requirements, developing process flows, high-level solution design, training, and change management.
  • Monitor program and project outcomes and incorporate them into road-mapping and stakeholder priorities.

Hillhouse invests in Quest Global to accelerate engineering growth

Quest Global, a global outsourced engineering services provider, has secured a minority investment from Hillhouse Investment through a combination of primary capital infusion and share purchases from existing stakeholders. The transaction involves funds managed by Hillhouse Investment Management. The Singapore-based company, which employs over 21,500 people across 93 global delivery centres in 18 countries, will use the capital to advance strategic priorities and enhance its engineering capabilities for major original equipment manufacturers worldwide. Quest Global specialises in aerospace, automotive, energy and semiconductor sectors. CEO Ajit Prabhu said the investment validates the company's differentiated value proposition and growth strategy. Hillhouse is acquiring a 5% stake in Quest Global at a $4.5 billion valuation, outbidding Temasek in a pre-IPO round. The deal represents a significant jump from Quest Global's previous $1.8 billion valuation when Carlyle Group acquired a stake in 2023. Temasek had also been planning to purchase approximately 5% of the engineering services company. AROBS acquires Quest Global Romania in all-stock deal with one-year lock-up

Romanian tech group AROBS is acquiring Quest Global Romania from Craiova in an all-stock transaction, marking the company's first acquisition paid entirely through share issuance. The newly issued shares will be subject to a one-year lock-up period. Quest Global Romania, headquartered in Craiova, employs approximately 110 specialists and provides software development, testing, embedded solutions and IT consulting services across sectors including semiconductors, healthcare and automotive. The company is part of Singapore-based Quest Global, which operates in 18 countries with over 22,000 employees. The acquisition strengthens AROBS's engineering capabilities and international presence. Quest Global Romania's management will continue under Ana-Maria Vasilescu's leadership. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of the year.
