About the job

Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist supporting a multi-site, hourly-heavy workforce.
  • Experience operating in a private-equity-backed or high-growth environment where priorities and headcount plans shift quickly.
  • Broad, generalist HR knowledge across the full HR function.
  • Experience owning an employee-relations caseload directly rather than delegating or escalating by default.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to coach area and clinic managers through difficult conversations and document them defensibly the same day.
  • Working knowledge of human resources information systems and payroll systems, with comfort using data to support reporting.
  • Willingness to travel within an assigned portion of the clinic network as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary human resources point of contact across the clinic network and partner with regional and clinic leadership on day-to-day people issues.
  • Own employee-relations case management from intake through resolution, including documentation, investigation, and coordination with the Chief People Officer on escalated matters.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle across assigned locations, including onboarding, performance-management support, transfers, and offboarding.
  • Support integration of newly acquired clinic locations, including human resources due-diligence handoff, policy alignment, and onboarding acquired staff into company systems and culture.
  • Coach clinic and regional leaders on people practices, including performance conversations, documentation standards, and consistent policy application.
  • Handle first-line questions across the full range of human resources topics, resolve issues directly when possible, and route remaining matters to Payroll or the Chief People Officer with gathered context.
  • Track and report people metrics, including turnover, employee-relations case volume, and resolution time, and translate trends into recommendations for the Chief People Officer.
  • Maintain working knowledge of employment law across Arkansas, Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, and Missouri, and flag compliance risks before they become exposure.
  • Drive and monitor reductions in annualized clinic-network turnover against the clinic-assistant retention goal.
  • Monitor employee-relations case resolution time and documentation quality through periodic audits.
  • Track the percentage of employee and manager questions resolved without escalation against a defined baseline.
  • Monitor leader satisfaction and self-sufficiency through declining repeat escalations on the same issue type.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare, dental, or a dental service organization.
  • Experience with Workday.

About the company

Rock Dental Brands acts as a Dental Support Organization (DSO) that partners with dental practices to handle non-clinical operations so clinicians can focus on patient care. It works with general dentists, pediatric dentists, orthodontists, and oral surgeons across nearly 100 locations and a network of over 60 providers. The company’s services include administrative support such as billing, marketing, and human resources, along with peer reviews and continuing education. Revenue comes from service fees and profit-sharing agreements with partner practices. What sets Rock Dental Brands apart is its emphasis on family values, transparency, and ongoing education for providers, fostering a collaborative environment with increased earning potential and a stable, supportive network. The overall goal is to help dental professionals deliver high-quality clinical care while growing their practices through shared resources and best practices.
