Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in finance, economics, business, or a related field, and remain enrolled through the selected program window.
Have a minimum GPA of 3.7 or equivalent.
Have working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and accounting fundamentals.
Be fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese is required for Brazil-based participants.

Responsibilities
Participate in weekly training sessions and case exercises on financial modeling and valuation, including comparable companies, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow analysis.
Learn how sell-side, buy-side, and capital-raise advisory processes run from preparation through closing.
Conduct research on companies, sectors, and comparable transactions using FactSet, Bloomberg, PitchBook, and Capital IQ.
Learn how professional presentations, teasers, and memos are structured and written.
Study Latin American M&A considerations, including country risk premia, foreign exchange, and comparison of multiples with US and European benchmarks.
Complete case projects based on anonymized or past transactions and receive written feedback.
Observe team meetings and selected client calls, then participate in debrief sessions.
Meet weekly with a designated mentor who reviews the participant's work.
Present a final case to the firm's partners and receive a written evaluation at the end of the program.

The program
The MACA Off-Cycle Internship is an 8-week educational program, run outside the summer in three windows each year – Winter (1 December – 15 February), Spring (1 March – 15 May) and Fall (1 September – 15 November), with windows open from Winter 2026–27 through Fall 2028 – and exact dates agreed with each participant, for students who want to understand how cross-border M&A advisory works in practice. It is built around a structured curriculum taught by the firm’s bankers, case work modeled on real transactions, and supervised observation of how our team runs mandates. The program is designed to complement your studies, and we work with universities to support academic credit where it is available.
What you will learn

What you bring
Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in finance, economics, business or a related field, continuing through the window you select
An exceptional academic record (minimum GPA of 3.7 or equivalent)
Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and of accounting fundamentals
Curiosity, care in the details and a willingness to ask questions
Fluency in Spanish and English (Portuguese required for Brazil-based participants)
