Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with ASD and other developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.
  • Must be able to work with children birth to age 21 and families who are at risk.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
  • Basic computer skills which include a working knowledge of keyboarding, database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents.
  • Ability to author routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of families or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Report for work dressed appropriately and complies with company policies regarding the dress code.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Master's degree in Behavior Analysis or related field.
  • Active status as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) or upcoming BCBA eligibility (exam scheduled).
Responsibilities
  • Provide applied behavior analytic (ABA) assessment and therapy services for children with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities.
  • Complete paperwork requirements in an accurate and timely manner as notified by administration, including ABA initial assessments and re-assessments and discharge.
  • Collaborate with administration and other disciplines involved in the child’s care to promote consistent and quality services for children and families.
  • Evaluate children using appropriate testing protocols and tools to follow funding guidelines for each particular child.
  • Implement individualized and evidenced based interventions for ABA clients.
  • Provide therapy services to children based on the recommended number of units from evaluations and funding source approvals.
  • Provide therapy services in highly specialized facilities with an emphasis on goal attainment through appropriate developmental progression of functional skill attainment and real-life experiences.
  • Provide documentation of all therapy services by locking and electronically signing weekly progress notes including reviewing and signing off on all RBT treatment notes.
  • Conduct parent training sessions and communicates changes/updates to families.
  • Supervise and mentor BT, RBT and/or ABA Fieldwork Students.
  • Participate in annual performance reviews for professional development and growth.
  • Participate in one-on-one meetings with leader.
  • Provide feedback to leadership regarding ways to enhance continued improvement of the ABA program and any needs or concerns.
  • Respond positively to feedback concerning job performance.
  • Participate in Multidisciplinary conferences as needed.
  • Demonstrate continued growth in therapeutic skills through learning, knowledge, and application.
