Pediatrics Plus expands Farm model to Searcy.

Pediatrics Plus expands Farm model to Searcy. Pediatrics Plus has expanded its "Farm" model of therapy services with the opening of a location serving Searcy and surrounding communities. The Little Rock-based firm provides pediatric health care and therapy services in Arkansas, Texas, Missouri and Oklahoma. The Searcy grand opening marks the fifth Farm location. The Farm model offers nature-based therapy that combines therapy services, including occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language therapy and applied behavior analysis with immersive, outdoor experiences to help patients learn and grow in real-world environments, according to a press release. A grand opening with U.S. Rep. French Hill was held recently at the Searcy facility, located at 1220 Whitney Lane in Kensett. Other Farm sites are located in Bryant, Cabot, Conway and Rogers. "We are proud to expand our specialized therapy model to northeast Arkansas," said Scott Street, CEO of Pediatrics Plus. "The Farm allows our team to move beyond traditional clinical settings into an environment where children can build confidence and independence through hands-on experiences. We are grateful for the support from this community and look forward to serving families across the region." Each Farm location by Pediatrics Plus features a fully functioning farmhouse with a high-stim and low-stim gym and outdoor spaces, including a barn, chicken coop and sensory gardens with a greenhouse, where children can strengthen motor, communication and life skills through purposeful play, the release said. "Projects like this demonstrate what's possible when innovation rises up to meet the needs of a community," Hill said. "Pediatrics Plus is creating new opportunities for children and families in Arkansas by delivering high-quality care in a setting that allows kids to learn through experience, engagement, and exploration. This investment in Searcy will have a lasting impact on the surrounding communities."
