Superluminal Medicines has closed an oversubscribed $60 million Series B financing led by BVF Partners, with participation from Deep Track Capital and Perceptive Advisors alongside existing investors including RA Capital Management, Insight Partners, and NVIDIA. The Boston-based biotechnology company will use the proceeds to advance its lead programme — a selective MC4R agonist for rare genetic forms of obesity and hypothalamic obesity — into a Phase 1 clinical trial by the end of 2026. The funding will also support expansion of its GPCR-focused discovery platform. Superluminal integrates AI, machine learning, and structural biology to develop small-molecule therapies targeting G protein-coupled receptors for endocrine and cardiometabolic diseases. The company maintains a strategic collaboration with Eli Lilly for advancing GPCR-targeted therapeutics.
Reframe Systems, a physical AI company industrialising homebuilding, has raised $40 million in venture-backed equity financing. The round was led by Energy Impact Partners, with participation from Counterpart Ventures, E12 Ventures, Global Brain, Thin Line Capital, Up Partners, LACI Impact Fund, and existing investors including Eclipse and VoLo Earth. The company builds small, highly automated microfactories near communities requiring housing. Its technology delivers homes three times faster and at 35% lower cost than traditional construction. Reframe has completed 10 homes and expects to deliver 114 additional units over the next year. The funding will support expansion of Reframe's microfactory network across North America. The company's new Massachusetts facility, FAB1, is designed to produce up to 500 multifamily units or 250 single-family homes annually with less than $5 million in equipment.
Haobao Biopharma, a Chinese biopharmaceutical company focused on developing hepatitis B treatments and oligonucleotide technologies, has secured $120 million in Series C funding. The round was led by a global strategic investor, with participation from new investor RA Capital Management and existing backers including Qiming Venture Partners, 6 Dimensions Capital, and Sherpa Healthcare Partners. The financing will support Phase III registration trials and commercialisation preparations for AHB-137, accelerate development of AHB-171 and next-generation combination therapies, and expand the company's oligonucleotide product pipeline. Haobao utilises its proprietary Med-Oligo platform and targeted delivery technologies to develop treatments across infectious diseases, immuno-oncology, and muscular disorders.
AusperBio Therapeutics has closed a $120 million Series C financing round to advance its lead hepatitis B therapy, AHB-137, towards commercialisation. The financing was led by an unnamed strategic investor, with participation from new investor RA Capital Management and existing backers including HanKang Capital and Qiming Venture Partners. The proceeds will support AHB-137's Phase 3 registrational programme and commercialisation readiness. Funds will also accelerate development of AHB-171, the company's investigational siRNA candidate, and advance combination therapies for chronic hepatitis B. With this round, AusperBio has raised $360 million since 2024. The San Francisco-based biotech is developing oligonucleotide therapeutics targeting chronic hepatitis B, which affects an estimated 254 million people worldwide. AHB-137 is currently being evaluated in a Phase 3 trial in China.
Werewolf Therapeutics has entered into a securities purchase agreement to raise $150 million through a private placement ahead of a planned merger. The oversubscribed financing, scheduled to close on 21 August 2026, is co-led by RA Capital Management and Janus Henderson Investors. Other participants include Aberdeen Investments, Adage Capital Partners, ADAR1 Capital Management, Affinity Asset Advisors, Arkin Bio Capital, Balyasny Asset Management, Patient Square Capital's Enavate Sciences, SilverArc Capital, Sphera Healthcare, and Woodline Partners, alongside other institutional buyers and existing investors. The company will sell common shares and pre-funded warrants with an exercise price of $0.001 per share. The purchase price per share will be determined before closing.
