Requirements
  • Ideally have initial experience in rail operations, rostering, or transport planning, along with vocational training or a degree in transport, transportation, logistics, or a comparable field.
  • Have a good technical and commercial understanding to grasp complex relationships and develop pragmatic solutions.
  • Work in a structured and responsible manner and demonstrate a hands-on approach.
  • Be familiar with planning software such as TPN, FBS, IVU, WILSON, or comparable systems, or be motivated to learn quickly.
  • Have very good German language skills at C1 level and be confident using Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for annual planning of FlixTrain services, particularly efficient duty rosters for train personnel, including train drivers, train managers, and train assistants, for regular and special timetables.
  • Specialize within the team in processing short-notice special services and changes, such as short-notice transfers of locomotives and carriages and special trips.
  • Develop regular and special timetables in consideration of operational requirements and legal requirements to ensure stable operations and employee satisfaction.
  • Find economically viable solutions during construction work and operational restrictions, and develop short- and long-term timetable concepts.
  • Coordinate train paths, service facilities, workshop capacities, and operational resources in close alignment with internal and external partners.
  • Analyze ongoing operations to identify improvement potential and contribute findings to the continuous development of processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Additional foreign-language skills are a plus.
