About the company

Flux Mobility designs and sells lightweight electric utility vehicles in Switzerland, offering customized solutions tailored to each client’s use case. Customers start with an analysis of their needs, after which Flux Mobility develops a vehicle concept, offers a test drive, and provides a quote. Upon approval, the company orders and electrifies the selected vehicle. The vehicles can reach up to 480 km under WLTP testing and about 320 km in real-world, fully loaded conditions; actual range depends on climate, terrain, and battery health. Flux Mobility differentiates itself through its client-centric, design-to-delivery process and by delivering purpose-built EVs for commercial and individual use, rather than a one-size-fits-all product. The company aims to reduce pollution over a vehicle’s lifetime by replacing diesel with cleaner electric transport, helping customers cut their carbon footprint while meeting specific logistical needs.

What believers are saying

  • Flux started production of its new generation on November 25, 2025.
  • Flux Technology launched on February 23, 2026, expanding service revenue beyond vehicle sales.
  • The Hamburg Fire Department test and Basel deployment validate demand across Germany and Switzerland.

What critics are saying

  • Flux relies on certification and scaling, which CTO Christian Korte flagged in March 2026.
  • Flux’s municipal and emergency niche faces brutal competition from MAN, Mercedes, and Iveco.
  • If subsidies and fleet budgets tighten after 2026, orders can stall quickly.

What makes Flux Mobility unique

  • Flux Mobility sells customized electric utility vehicles from Winterthur, not generic vans.
  • Its 2025 platform modernized production with a 10.9-inch display and new assistance systems.
  • Swiss municipalities and fire departments already run Flux vehicles in Basel and Hamburg.
