  • An eye for hiring and developing people who treat artificial intelligence fluency as part of their professional craft.
Responsibilities

  • Build the growth plan and business case, including which segments and practice areas to prioritize, how firms in those segments buy, pricing, and which opportunities not to pursue during the year.
  • Apply knowledge of how Italian lawyers work, including how civil law shapes firm structures, how matters progress through local courts, how fees are set and regulated, and what the Consiglio Nazionale Forense and local Ordini require of practitioners, including differences from common-law practice.
  • Partner with the General Manager, International and sales leadership to define strategy for growing Clio's presence in Italy and Italy's role in the broader European market.
  • Work with revenue operations to set execution, compensation, enablement, and incentive plans that help the region find opportunities and convert them into revenue.
  • Directly manage, mentor, and grow the sales team in Italy.
  • Recruit and develop leadership talent, with a focus on AI-native and AI-fluent professionals.
  • Foster teamwork, transparency, creativity, continuous improvement, psychological safety, and curiosity about artificial intelligence, and lead the team through significant growth.

  • Represent the Italian market within Clio and work with product and engineering to prioritize Italian firms' needs.

  • Monitor trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting the legal industry and legal technology sector.
  • Benchmark best practices and keep Clio's small and medium-sized business offering competitive and forward-looking.
  • Represent Clio at events and deliver presentations online and in person to current and prospective clients, business partners, and law schools.
  • Build relationships with the Consiglio Nazionale Forense and local Ordini degli Avvocati, and pursue endorsements and accreditations valued by Italian firms.

CTM integrates with Clio to link legal marketing spend to billable revenue

CTM, a global conversation analytics company, has launched an integration with legal software provider Clio. It links CTM's call tracking and lead attribution to law firms' client intake workflow. The integration maps inbound calls, texts, and form submissions to the matching Clio contact or matter. Firms can see which channels, campaigns, and keywords bring in the most valuable cases, and no longer need to log call details by hand. It is aimed at Clio's network of more than 150,000 legal professionals, especially solo practitioners and small firms. According to Clio, phone calls remain the top intake channel for new clients in the legal industry. "When a single click can cost more than $500, impressions and lead counts aren't enough," said Chris Lafferty, vice president of product and technology at CTM. CTM will show the integration at ClioCon in Boston on October 26-27.

CallRail's Voice Assist integrates with Clio to automate legal client intake 24/7

CallRail has expanded its partnership with Clio, integrating its Voice Assist AI tool with Clio Grow and Clio Manage platforms. The integration enables law firms to handle inbound calls and texts 24/7 using AI that can recognise existing clients, qualify new leads, and book consultations automatically. Voice Assist pulls client information from Clio to personalise interactions, greeting returning callers by name and skipping previously answered intake questions. For new callers, it runs standard intake procedures and creates contacts in Clio with full marketing attribution. The system schedules consultations directly into Clio Manage without requiring human intervention, including after-hours calls. CallRail serves more than 225,000 businesses worldwide. The integration is now available to law firms.

Clio acquires Jurisage to fuel AI expansion with Canada's largest legal database

Burnaby, BC-based Clio has acquired Toronto legaltech firm Jurisage to bolster its AI capabilities in Canada. The deal gives Clio access to one of Canada's most comprehensive AI-ready legal datasets, covering over 470,000 cases across more than 40 courts. Jurisage's 10-person team is joining Clio, which recently surpassed $500 million USD in annual recurring revenue and holds a $5-billion valuation. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition addresses gaps in Clio's Canadian legal database following its $1-billion USD purchase of vLex in 2025, which offered limited Canadian coverage. A recent Clio report found that 95 per cent of Canadian lawyers are using AI in their work. The move comes as foreign competitors like Harvey and Legora expand into the Canadian market.
