Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, forward deployed engineering, or another technical customer-facing role.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions with audiences ranging from individual engineers to vice presidents and adapt the conversation to each audience.
  • Strong technical foundation, including the ability to reason about application programming interfaces, integrations, and how software fits into an existing engineering stack.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into an understanding of what the product does.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment where both the sales process and product are still taking shape.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with account executives on discovery calls, technical demonstrations, and pilots, from the first technical conversation through a signed deal.
  • Understand each customer's engineering workflow and requirements process, and demonstrate how Flow fits that process.
  • Build and run demonstrations and proofs of concept that reflect the customer's actual use case rather than a generic script.
  • Answer technical and security questions from engineering, information technology, and security teams, and complete security questionnaires with team support.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to share customer needs and inform product direction.
  • Partner with forward deployed engineers to hand off pilots into deployment.

  • Familiarity with requirements, systems engineering, product lifecycle management, or application lifecycle management tools such as Jama and DOORS.
  • Background in, or experience selling into, defense, aerospace, or regulated hardware environments.
