Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of in-depth experience in ground support equipment
- Provide and maintain a complete set of tools necessary to perform job
- Possess and maintain a valid class C drivers’ license
- Must be able to secure proper airport authority security badges
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with the role
Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and overhaul ground support equipment and components such as chassis, body, drive-train components, engines, transmissions, electrical systems, fuel systems, running gear systems, and air conditioning supply, compression and delivery systems
- Able to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance such as oil changes, replacing/adding coolant and fluids, brake and tire changes, etc., on ground support equipment
- Able to safely and legally operate a motor vehicle
- Complete forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in an effective, safe working condition
- Report any safety violation, machining equipment misusage, and/or properly performed work to supervisor or lead
- Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by federal, local, and state government, Mercury GSE, and HSE Procedures
- Keep work area clean and free of any safety hazards
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Mercury GSE reserves the right to add or change duties at any time
Desired Qualifications
- Valid ASE certification or other Diesel certification is a plus
