An INDOT certified technician credential or a degree in Construction or Civil Engineering is required.
At least five years of direct experience managing INDOT and INDOT LPA projects is required.
Ability to read and comprehend construction documents is required.
Knowledge of construction techniques and ability to follow company standards are required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
Strong mathematics skills are required.
A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment is required.
Responsibilities
Provide construction inspection experience for LPA and INDOT projects and lead an immediate large INDOT project.
Become familiar with company, client, government, and industry standards.
Observe and monitor construction for compliance with contract documents and approved shop drawings and material submittals.
Record field observations and determine the acceptability of construction work performed.
Monitor contractor quality control and verify construction conforms to the contractor's quality control plan.
Make field measurements, computations, and records of acceptable work.
Prepare reports outlining work performed and the quality of completed work acceptable for payment; calculate quantities of acceptable completed work for payment.
Review and verify contractor payment applications, proposals, and change order requests.
Coordinate construction activities with the owner and assist the Project Manager with client construction-related issues.
Prepare and maintain project records in accordance with company, client, and government standards.
Coordinate or conduct quality assurance testing, inspections, and surveys.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:
