Requirements
  • Proven experience with caching and distributed cache architecture, including technologies such as Redis, GridGain, or similar caching platforms.
  • Experience with DevOps automation tools, including Git for code versioning, JIRA, Ansible, containers, Kubernetes (OpenShift), database CI/CD tools, and their implementation.
  • Experience implementing Redis container patterns on Kubernetes using a Redis operator or a Helm chart.
  • Ability to drive architectural decisions, provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Observe, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Extensive experience working with large, distributed, high-performance, high-availability infrastructure with 24/7 uptime.
  • Knowledge of Python, Ansible, and Kafka to support end-to-end automation.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • A full-time graduation degree is required.
  • Ability to assess risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and role-specific technical skills.
Responsibilities
  • Apply software engineering techniques, automation, and incident-response best practices to ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of systems, platforms, and technology.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of systems and services through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning.
  • Resolve, analyze, and respond to system outages and disruptions, and implement measures to prevent similar incidents from recurring.
  • Develop tools and scripts to automate operational processes, reduce manual workload, increase efficiency, and improve system resilience.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance and resource usage, identify and address bottlenecks, and implement performance-tuning best practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate reliability, scalability, and performance best practices into the software development lifecycle, and work with other teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Stay informed about industry technology trends and innovations, and contribute to technology communities to foster technical excellence and growth.
  • Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, recommend changes, plan resources, budgets, and policies, maintain policies and processes, deliver continuous improvements, and escalate policy or procedure breaches.
  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment in support of control and governance.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls related to the work of the team.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of organizational functions and contribute to business goals.
  • Collaborate with other work areas and business-aligned support areas to stay current on business activity and strategy.
  • Use sophisticated analytical thinking to compare complex alternatives, define problems, and develop innovative solutions.

Apex secures $589M financing for 150MW Illinois solar project

Apex Clean Energy has secured $589 million in financing for its 150MW Spring Creek solar project in Macon County, Illinois. Helaba and KeyBank provided $352.1 million in construction and term loan financing, including a $226.3 million bridge loan due January 2028, a $103.8 million term loan, and a $22 million standby letter of credit, both due August 2031. Barclays provided the tax equity commitment, marking its first project-level deal with Apex after years of corporate-level financing. The project will add solar capacity to the MISO grid and represents Apex's sixth solar facility in Illinois. The company's Illinois projects total $3.5 billion in investment for facilities either operational or under construction.

Barclays appoints Wee Yee-Yeong to head private bank in Singapore and Asia

Barclays has appointed Wee Yee-Yeong as head of private bank for Singapore and Asia, effective later this year. He will oversee private banking operations in Singapore and lead regional strategy for international Asian clients. Yee-Yeong joins from Morgan Stanley, where he serves as chief executive and head of sales for Singapore wealth management. He brings over 20 years of wealth management experience, having held senior positions at Bank of Singapore, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, UBS Wealth Management, and Merrill Lynch. He will replace Alexander Harrison, who served as interim head. Form Energy closes $270M credit facility to scale iron-air battery production

Form Energy has closed a $270 million credit facility to support its energy storage technology development. The facility comprises a revolving credit facility and a tax credit advance facility linked to Section 45X Advanced Manufacturing Production Credit. An accordion feature allows the facility to expand to $1 billion. Barclays served as sole structuring bank, with Citi, Jefferies, JPMorgan Chase, RBC Capital Markets, Societe Generale, Stifel, and Wells Fargo participating in the lending syndicate.
