What believers are saying

  • Q2 2026 product revenue hit $47.6 million for Lifyorli, with 1,300 patients started.
  • FDA set December 17, 2026 for relacorilant in Cushing's syndrome after resubmission.
  • Corcept raised 2026 guidance to $1.1 billion to $1.2 billion and held $544.6 million cash.

What critics are saying

  • A February 20, 2026 securities class action targets Corcept's relacorilant NDA disclosures.
  • Korlym still anchors revenue, so any relacorilant setback hits the core cash engine.
  • Roche, AstraZeneca, and generic challengers pressure ovarian oncology adoption before 2027 expansion.

What makes Corcept Therapeutics unique

  • Corcept owns the cortisol platform behind Korlym and Lifyorli, spanning endocrinology and oncology.
  • Lifyorli gained EMA CHMP backing on September 17, 2026, after FDA approval in March.
  • Q2 2026 revenue reached $256.1 million, proving commercialization beyond a single-product story.

2026 Patient Innovators Awards winners announced at Courier Health's annual Summit.

2026 Patient Innovators Awards winners announced at Courier Health's annual Summit. Oct 13, 2026, 09:00 ET Honorees celebrated as biopharma gathered in New York City to chart the future of the patient experience NEW YORK, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Courier Health, the leading technology company for managing patient experiences, today announced the winners of the second annual Patient Innovators Awards, which recognize the biopharma teams and leaders going above and beyond to improve patient access, innovation, and overall outcomes. Winners were announced live on October 6th at the third annual Patient Innovators Summit in New York City. The invite-only event brought together Patient Services, Access & Reimbursement, and Commercial IT & Analytics leaders from more than 75 biopharma companies. Together, attendees represented more than 100 disease states and roughly 35 million patients with previously unmet needs. Four teams and one individual were recognized for driving innovation and measurably improving the patient experience: * Rare Disease Champions of the Year: KalVista, a Company of Chiesi Group * Patient Services Team of the Year: Priovant Therapeutics * Field Access Team of the Year: UCB, Inc. * Patient Champion of the Year: Rob Chuba, Alkermes * Patient Innovators of the Year: Bristol Myers Squibb's CAR T-cell therapy Patient Access Support Services (PASS) team "Being named Patient Services Team of the Year is a testament to the team and program we're building," said Lee Liberator, Vice President of Patient Services and Reimbursement at Priovant Therapeutics. "We've built a unique program centered around what patients actually need from us, and we're proud to be recognized for our commitment to innovating and championing a better patient experience." In his opening keynote, Danny Sigurdson, Founder and CEO of Courier Health, described the moment as a fork in the road. As manufacturers take greater internal control of their programs, data ownership, outcomes-based measurement, and AI-enabled workflow innovation have become critical. Organizations that invest in the right foundation will gain greater operational leverage to focus on their core competency - supporting patients and providers - while those that don't will fall further behind. "This year's Patient Innovators Awards winners are proof that a better path, and a brighter future, is already being built," said Danny Sigurdson. "These teams and our individual Patient Champion of the Year aren't afraid to challenge the status quo and rethink how their programs run. They never lose sight of the patient, and it's an honor to recognize their contributions." This year's Patient Innovators Summit featured 11 industry speakers from companies including Alkermes, Beren Therapeutics, Corcept Therapeutics, Compass Pathways, Dyne Therapeutics, Genentech, and Tarus Pharmaceuticals. The audience also heard a powerful firsthand story from Mark Dant, rare disease advocate and Volunteer Executive Director for the Ryan Foundation. CancerNetwork: CHMP backed Lifyorli combo for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.

CancerNetwork: CHMP backed Lifyorli combo for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. CancerNetwork and Corcept's wire release via STT Info report the glucocorticoid-receptor antagonist combo cleared the EMA's CHMP on 18 September 2026; the binding European Commission decision follows, which the company expects in the fourth quarter of 2026. By Rali Filali · Founder, Prognyx 18 September 2026 Sourced to primary records Oncology In brief - On 18 September 2026, oncology trade outlets (OncLive, CancerNetwork) and Corcept's own wire release, republished via MarketScreener and STT Info, reported that the EMA's CHMP issued a positive opinion recommending EU marketing authorization for Corcept's Lifyorli (relacorilant) plus nab-paclitaxel in platinum-resistant epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer, a glucocorticoid receptor antagonist combination already FDA-approved in March 2026. It is a committee recommendation, not a final authorization; the binding European Commission decision follows, which Corcept expects in the fourth quarter of 2026. Oncology trade outlets (OncLive, CancerNetwork), together with Corcept's own wire release republished via MarketScreener and STT Info, reported on 18 September 2026 that the EMA's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use issued a positive opinion recommending EU marketing authorization for Corcept Therapeutics' Lifyorli (relacorilant) plus nab-paclitaxel in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer [[1]] [[2]] [[3]] [[4]]. The opinion is a committee recommendation, not a final authorization: the binding European Commission decision follows, which Corcept expects in the fourth quarter of 2026 [[4]]. Relacorilant is a non-steroidal, selective glucocorticoid receptor antagonist [[10]] [[11]]. The combination is already FDA-approved, cleared in March 2026 as Lifyorli (NDA 220641) for adults who have had one to three prior systemic regimens including at least one containing bevacizumab [[6]] [[7]] [[8]]. That prior-bevacizumab requirement places the drug after, not against, the anti-angiogenic standard - it extends the treatment sequence rather than displacing its front end. Why it matters. The US launch is already moving: Corcept reported more than 1,300 US patients started on Lifyorli since the March 2026 approval, and $47.6 million in product revenue in Q2 2026 [[8]]. An EU authorization would open a second major market for a drug whose commercial case is being proven in real time. For any competitor building in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, this is a second geography coming into play, not a distant possibility. The pivotal Phase 3 (NCT05257408), a dual PFS/OS study that is active but no longer recruiting, with a primary completion date of 24 March 2025, has no results posted in its public registry record [[14]]. What Prognyx could not verify. The European Commission's final decision is the binding step, and Corcept expects it in the fourth quarter of 2026 [[4]]; that is a company expectation, not a confirmed authorization date. What to watch next. Corcept expects results from its triple combination of relacorilant, nab-paclitaxel and bevacizumab (NCT06906341, still recruiting) by the end of 2026 [[12]] [[15]]; a positive readout there would push relacorilant into concurrent use with the anti-angiogenic rather than strictly after it. The now-what. For a competitor in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, the planning priorities are concrete. Prognyx's planning implication: scenario-test a potential EU launch after the Commission decision; neither an authorization nor a launch date is confirmed by the company's fourth-quarter decision expectation [[4]]. Watch the end-2026 triple-combination readout - it decides whether relacorilant stays a later-line option or moves earlier in the sequence. And because glucocorticoid receptor antagonism is mechanistically independent of PARP inhibition and anti-angiogenics, the sharper question is whether it combines with those classes rather than competes with them. Verdict: moderate and rising threat for platinum-resistant ovarian franchises - the EU door is opening, and the window to respond runs until the Commission decision (company expects the fourth quarter of 2026 [[4]]) and the end-2026 triple-combination data. Questions this briefing answers. Is Lifyorli now approved in the European union? No. On 18 September 2026 the EMA's CHMP issued a positive opinion recommending EU marketing authorization; the binding European Commission decision still follows, which Corcept expects in the fourth quarter of 2026 [2][4]. How is relacorilant different from existing platinum-resistant ovarian cancer drugs? It is a non-steroidal, selective glucocorticoid receptor antagonist given with nab-paclitaxel - a mechanism distinct from the anti-angiogenics used in the platinum-resistant setting and the PARP inhibitors used elsewhere in ovarian cancer. Its US label places it after at least one prior bevacizumab-containing regimen [6][10][11]. Sources - every claim traces to the primary record.
