Requirements
  • At least 5 years in a Human Resources role with 3 years in a HR Generalist role preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business with HR emphasis, or related education and/or equivalent work experience
  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Experience in the Construction or Manufacturing industry is a distinct asset
  • Proven ability to provide excellent written and verbal communication
  • Highly organized and strong ability to multi-task
  • Ability to successfully implement new Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Highly skilled in navigating and utilizing HRIS
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments
  • Must have working knowledge of state and federal employment laws including State Leaves
  • Bilingual – fluent in English and Spanish (preferred, but not required)
Responsibilities
  • Partner with Operations Managers in Branches to support HR needs
  • Full-cycle recruitment and selection of office/management staff
  • Internal transfers and/or relocations of employees
  • Employee relations matters, Immigration cases, investigations and terminations
  • Partner with Regional HR Manager on change management
  • Providing comprehensive onboarding to office/management staff
  • Establish and maintain relationships with trade-related schools and community organizations
  • Utilize co-op and internship programs and attend career/job fairs
  • Provide Training/Development to employees
  • Support employees with HR needs
  • Updating and follow-up of Performance Review Records
  • Ensure accurate HR procedures are followed regarding employee documentation retention
  • Provide employee communications on policy updates/changes
  • Perform general administrative duties as assigned
  • Travel to branch locations as needed
