  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • 2+ years’ experience as a distribution center supervisor with proven record of success
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple departments within one center
Responsibilities
  • Assist the DC manager to oversee all aspects of a single distribution center, including the service, physical assets, operating costs, and team members.
  • Assist in ensuring day to day that the DC is compliant with company operations, policies and procedures.
  • Assist the DC manager to maintain payroll, budgeting, inventory integrity, productivity, etc.
  • Provide training, guidance, and counseling as needed to each DC team member.
  • Responsible for the management of a staff of 1-15 supervisors, and up to 300 hourly team members.
  • Provide excellent leadership throughout the DC and work to ensure productivity and morale are maintained at a high level.
  • Work with the DC manager to establish annual goals and the plan to follow for accomplishing these goals.
  • Work closely with DC manager and human resources to support team members and others as needed to ensure effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices.
  • Responsible for on time evaluations of all team members.
  • Assist the DC manager with planning to prepare annual operating budget.
  • Work with each supervisor to monitor expenditures within the department, and coordinate with the DC manager for approval on any expenditure.
  • Work with the DC manager to obtain approval on all expenses which exceed $1,000.
  • Provide a safe working environment and aggressively manage all risk and risk related costs.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • College degree or logistics certification
