Pacific Energy Concepts

View

Pacific Energy Concepts (PEC) provides custom LED lighting solutions designed to optimize energy use in complex environments such as warehouses, factories, retail spaces, and building exteriors. Energy engineers assess each site and apply modern LED technology through a structured design process to create lighting systems that lower energy consumption and reduce operating costs over the long term. The company works with large corporations (e.g., Costco, Sysco) and thousands of smaller clients, delivering measurable savings—over $100 million across more than 7,000 projects. PEC differentiates itself with its engineering-led, site-specific approach and a proven track record of substantial energy-cost reductions. The goal is to help businesses run more efficiently, save money, and improve the workplace experience while using lighting more effectively.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • PEC reported a 53.42% call-to-connect lift and 60.75% more prospecting activity in 2026.
  • Its website says PEC delivered $100M+ savings across 7,000+ projects, strengthening credibility.
  • PEC kept winning recognition in 2026, including recurring Lighthouse awards and Inc. coverage.

What critics are saying

  • BDR Manager hiring in Chicago signals pipeline pressure and heavier sales overhead in 2026.
  • ZoomInfo dependence shows prospecting inefficiency; the 53.42% lift implies weak outbound before.
  • Lighting retrofits commoditize fast; incumbent contractors and OEMs can compress PEC margins.

What makes Pacific Energy Concepts unique

  • PEC bundles LED lighting, advanced controls, smart motors, and energy monitoring for C&I sites.
  • Its work spans warehouses, factories, retail, exteriors, and utility incentive programs.
  • PEC uses engineering-led, customer-facing field teams instead of commodity lighting sales.
