- Graduation from an Occupational Assistant program with a minimum of an Associate’s degree and successful completion of clinical internship requirements
- Current Licensure or eligibility for licensure by the Board of Medical Examiners, State of California required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Basic knowledge and understanding of occupational therapy procedures and techniques required for providing routine inpatient, SNF and outpatient physical therapy treatments
- Knowledge of infection control procedures
- Knowledge of proper body mechanics
- Ability to follow directions accurately
- Ability to establish effective relationships with patients and fellow employees
- Ability to assume responsibility for updating skills as required by hospital policy
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods, stoop and mechanically operate wheelchair accessories repetitively throughout the day and position/transfer dependent patients in and out of bed without assistance.
- One year of professional experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant preferred

Placerville-based health care system Marshall is opening a new 25,000-square-foot medical facility in El Dorado Hills, expanding access to specialty and primary care for the western part of El Dorado County.
