Pavement Marking Laborer - RPM Installer
About the job
- Maintain company standards for background checks, driving-record checks, and controlled-substance or drug testing.
- Know local driving rules and regulations.
- Perform simple arithmetic functions.
- Maintain the safety equipment required for each job.
- Adapt to the latest technology.
- Use a smartphone and applications.
- Adjust to a changing work schedule.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds.
- Work outdoors around moving equipment, machinery parts, moving traffic, fumes, and airborne particles, with moderate to loud noise levels.
- Work Monday through Friday, including some nights and weekends, and work overtime when required.
- Travel with the company when necessary.
- Complete equipment and vehicle repair reports provided by crew members.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Department of Transportation and quality guidelines.
- Ensure vehicles, spray systems, and other truck-mounted equipment are in working order and properly loaded each day.
- Keep vehicles clean and neat inside and out.
- Ensure pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms are completed properly.
- Maximize production on the job.
- Be trained and able to operate and maintain at least six different pieces of equipment.
- Operate hand machines, forklifts, hand grinders, 3M hand-tape machines, 3M adhesive applicators, and hand-roller tamper carts.
- Install preformed thermoplastic or hot tape.
