Requirements
  • SOF/Recon Background: Graduate of a U.S. Assessment & Selection and Operator Qualification course, or Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) experience as an operator within one of the following communities: MARSOC, U.S. Army Special Forces (SF), Naval Special Warfare (WARCOM), Marine Corps Reconnaissance
  • Instructional Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience instructing a USSOCOM-approved: Attack Drone / FPV Course, or Ground Organic Precision Strike Program of Instruction
  • Certifications & Licenses: Ability to gain and maintain Camp Lejeune Range Safety Officer (RSO) certification; Ability to gain and maintain Camp Lejeune Laser Safety Officer (LSO) certification
  • Other Certifications: Valid and current Class 2 FAA Medical/Physical; Valid and current FAA Part 107 certification (Remote Pilot); Valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Security: Active Secret clearance required (or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance)
Responsibilities
  • Develop, refine, and deliver comprehensive POI focused on Attack Drones / FPV employment, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and Ground Organic Precision Strike Weapon Systems (GOPPS) employment and integration
  • Instruct individual and collective training for MARSOC SR Teams in classroom, simulator, and field environments
  • Design and execute practical exercise scenarios that replicate realistic operational environments, to include planning, rehearsals, and after-action reviews (AARs)
  • Integrate FPV and GOPPS capabilities into broader unit TTPs, mission planning, and rehearsals
  • Ensure training is compliant with all applicable safety regulations, range control procedures, and USMC/USSOCOM guidance
  • Gain and maintain Camp Lejeune Range Safety Officer (RSO) certification
  • Camp Lejeune Laser Safety Officer (LSO) certification
  • Maintain currency and proficiency with emerging FPV and precision strike technologies, platforms, and threat trends
  • Coordinate with unit leadership, range control, and other stakeholders to schedule and execute training
  • Support the development and updating of training documentation, lesson plans, SOPs, and risk assessments
Desired Qualifications
  • Deep familiarity with FPV drones, attack/strike drone employment, payloads, and countermeasures
  • Experience integrating unmanned systems and precision strike capabilities into SOF mission profiles (reconnaissance, target development, direct action, etc.)
  • Strong communication and briefing skills; comfortable instructing small teams and larger elements
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a joint/combined team in a fast-paced training environment
  • Strong planning, coordination, and documentation skills (lesson plans, TTP updates, AARs, risk assessments)
