About the job
- Must possess a 100-ton United States Coast Guard (USCG) master's license.
- Have 2 years of experience operating passenger boats in New York Harbor.
- Have first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) qualifications.
- Must have a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
- Must have a Marine Radio Operator Permit (MROP).
- Have 5 years of twin-screw propulsion experience.
- Have 1 year of vessel operation experience.
- Must have a USCG 100-ton master's license.
- Must relocate to New York, NY 10014 before starting work.
- Operate vessels safely in all sea and weather conditions, including docking, undocking, and navigating in New York Harbor.
- Conduct pre-cruise checks and meetings, and communicate necessary cruise information to the crew, including special needs and boarding procedures.
- Ensure staff and guests adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to Coast Guard rules and regulations, as well as other federal and local rules and regulations.
- Have 5 years of USCG inspection experience.
