Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree or comparable experience.
  • Continuing education in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Five to seven years of progressive experience in Occupational Health and Safety, including experience leading projects, programs, or teams.
  • The ability to participate in extensive travel, a valid provincial driver's license, and access to a vehicle.
  • The ability to analyze and interpret information in business-related documents, write reports and business correspondence, and effectively relay and present information.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and technical expertise to support management accountability for occupational health and safety programs, injury prevention, incident management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support and maintain relationships with external health and safety stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry associations, consultants, and provincial safety partners.
  • Analyze incident, illness, injury, and claims data to identify trends, develop recommendations, and support operational decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly health and safety performance reports for operational and corporate leadership and report on safety performance.
  • Support audit readiness activities, compliance reviews, corrective action tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives across Ontario operations.
  • Lead initiatives that reduce workplace injuries, improve audit results, strengthen regulatory compliance, and support positive employee health and safety outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare, long-term care, seniors living, or a similarly regulated environment is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with Workday.
