Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of construction technology experience.
  • An understanding of basic construction processes, procedures, and technologies.
  • An understanding of Virtual Design and Construction and Building Information Modeling within a business.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with Virtual Design and Construction and Building Information Modeling software, including Navisworks Manage, Revit, Autodesk CAD, and SketchUp.
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, and submittals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including strong skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to perform occasional construction site visits and comply with required personal protective equipment and site safety requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Foster an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Work closely with the MEP and VDC Manager to support the in-house pre-construction, design, and project management teams with day-to-day and long-term duties, tasks, and training.
  • Assist the MEP and VDC Manager in developing and maintaining Building Information Modeling-associated contracts and documents.
  • Assist the MEP and VDC Manager in exploring additional Virtual Design and Construction applications, including 4D scheduling, 5D cost, and nD applications.
  • Manage and analyze models provided by architects, engineers, trade contractors, and consultants to identify coordination and constructability issues.
  • Develop three-dimensional models through Revit as necessary for coordination purposes.
  • Conduct Building Information Modeling coordination meetings collaboratively with construction teams, design teams, and trade contractors.
  • Manage the coordination process and conduct clash detection, visual walkthroughs, and clash-free signoff to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Perform field checks for quality assurance and quality control and provide site reports.
  • Conduct the Building Information Modeling close-out process, including final as-built models.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
