Early Intervention Occupational Therapist
About the job
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Allied Professional Health.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe, and Office365, including Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Ability to use computer-based technology, including a computer or laptop and cell phone.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all areas of infant-toddler development.
- Utilize a parent coaching model when working with families.
- Participate in screenings, assessments, child groups, parent groups, center visits, and home visits as a member of a trans-disciplinary team.
- Provide home-based services to families across the catchment area.
- Collaborate with community providers to ensure continuity of services for families, including child care providers, medical providers, social service agencies, and specialty providers serving children with autism or hearing or vision loss.
- Provide service coordination for an assigned caseload, including coordinating the development, monitoring, and review of the Individual Family Service Plan.
- Two years of pediatric experience is preferred.
- Bilingual and bicultural candidates are encouraged to apply.
