HIRING IMMEDIATELY-SPECIAL PANELS FIELD ENGINEER
Job Description
- Install and properly maintain equipment in newly assigned Nielsen Families/Households
- Drive to selected homes within a designated territory, using company-provided vehicle
- Ensure collection and transmission equipment is properly installed and configured to transmit necessary audience data
- Respond to calls from assigned Nielsen Families/Households and ensure equipment is maintained and operating effectively
- Prioritize, schedule and complete all work in compliance with established policy and guidelines in assigned territory
- Accurately collect and report demographics and audience information using Nielsen proprietary platforms
- Educate and coach Panel Members on proper operation and usage of Nielsen equipment
- Recruit new or existing Nielsen families by convincing randomly selected households to participate in our research
- Maintain multiple platforms and panel applications in each panelist home at or above projects KPIs
- Ensure tests are administered adhering to quality standards
- Perform analysis to help determine the reason for product failures
- Perform product verification and validation tests before delivery
- Interact with Panelists regularly to capture and record user experience and clearly communicate that information with Data Science.
- Develop standard procedures for field testing tasks
- Manage multiple projects/validations in parallel with each other in the same panelist home
- Submit feedback via Standardized Test Intake form about experience in the field to help track defects and communicate enhancements
- Collect detailed notes from field visits and experience with panel applications. Clearly communicate and report findings on a weekly call with Data Science and Engineering.
- Assist in determining the root cause of technological problems or deficiencies in new procedures, and communicate the process involved in remediation
- Document via Standardized Feedback Intake form and provide detailed, step-by-step, reporting of problems and/or solutions during testing in order to meet company quality standards
- Use persuasion skills and other effective communication techniques to gain Panelist participation and cooperation in installing multiple Nielsen Ratings meters/platforms to test new software, hardware and procedures
- Collaborate with various teams (engineering, data science, product leadership and management) members to achieve a common goal
- Thoroughly test hardware/software procedures in a live environment (scripted and no -scripted testing)
- Assess effectiveness/viability of new equipment, software enhancements, and panelist cooperation rates/hesitancy and enter via Standardized Test Intake form

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be $65,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee’s geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
