Requirements
  • Must hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Must participate in the company's background check process.
  • Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must be willing to obtain an annual tuberculosis (TB) test.
  • Must be able to get down on the floor and stand up repeatedly, lift up to 50 pounds, and run or move quickly when needed for interaction with and safety of children.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and be able to perform repetitive tasks precisely.
  • Must be able to follow and carry out detailed instructions.
  • Must understand technology well enough to record data on a mobile device and navigate digital applications.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate cultural competency and remain flexible and open-minded.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct client care in one-to-one and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
  • Follow behavioral skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction protocols in each client's individualized treatment plan, as developed by the BCBA/BC.
  • Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
  • Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with each client's individualized treatment and behavior-reduction protocols.
  • Complete documentation on time and according to established procedures.
  • Communicate with parents and caregivers about client progress as instructed by the BCBA/BC.
  • Use safe and appropriate procedures with clients and report critical incidents and safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
  • Assist the BCBA/BC with preparation of client materials, behavior-reduction assessments, and skills acquisition.
