  • A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
  • A current Occupational Therapist license in good standing in the State of Michigan is required.
  • A current Michigan driver's license is required.
  • Reliable transportation must be available for daily business use.
  • Proof of current automobile insurance is required.
  • The ability to obtain BLS certification within three months of hire is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Basic computer and mobile device proficiency are required.
  • Candidates must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and assist patients.
  • Candidates must be able to lift, move, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally assist with heavier physical demands associated with patient care.
  • Occupational Therapists are expected to maintain clinical competency, stay current with advances in rehabilitation practice, and deliver patient-centered care aligned with Bronson's mission and values.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services in the home setting.
  • Help patients improve their ability to perform daily living activities safely and independently.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on treatment strategies and adaptive techniques.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Recommend and train patients on adaptive equipment, splints, and assistive devices when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and process improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to students and support staff as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous clinical experience in occupational therapy.
