Requirements
- Knowledge of robotic programming and maintenance, programmable logic controller programming and maintenance, and computer and electrical systems.
- Basic skills in electrical and electronics, networking, mechanical systems, robotics, and programmable logic controllers.
- Ability to assist instructors in the lab environment, maintain adequate supplies of prepared stock for classes, and place orders for materials and supplies needed for lab operations and classes.
- Ability to program FANUC robots, other robots, and programmable logic controllers.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with students and faculty.
- An associate degree or two-year technical certificate.
- Five years of experience as a machinist programmer/operator in an industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratories, components, materials, and consumables for classes.
- Prepare and install donated pre-owned robotics and programmable logic controllers for the laboratories.
- Support instructors as needed for laboratories.
- Maintain current knowledge of programs and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred skills in robotics and programmable logic controller programming.
- Teaching experience in a community college environment.
