Quantum Leap Energy appoints Dr. Peter Fiske to strategic advisory board

Quantum Leap Energy, a subsidiary of ASP Isotopes Inc. focused on nuclear fuel cycle technologies, has appointed Dr Peter Fiske to its Strategic Advisory Board. Dr Fiske brings extensive experience in technology commercialisation and government partnerships, having served as founding Executive Director of the National Alliance for Water Innovation, a $110 million Department of Energy initiative. The appointment follows recent organisational developments at Quantum Leap Energy, including the formation of its Strategic Advisory Board, the hiring of Dr Nate Salpeter as Chief Technology Officer, and a collaboration with the University of Bristol for a lithium laser research facility. Dr Fiske previously led PAX Water Technologies, co-founded RAPT Industries, and served as a White House Fellow. He holds a PhD from Stanford University and an MBA from UC Berkeley.

Quantum Leap Energy partners with University of Bristol to design lithium laser enrichment facility

ASP Isotopes has announced that Quantum Leap Energy, its wholly-owned subsidiary, has commenced a strategic collaboration with the University of Bristol to design a lithium laser research facility in the UK. The project aims to advance nuclear fuel technology and meet growing demand for advanced nuclear fuels. Under the agreement, Bristol will lead a four-month initial phase covering design and feasibility studies for the laser enrichment research facility. The university will coordinate specialists in structural engineering, architecture, lithium handling and laser safety, progressing through multiple phases to complete technical design work. Subject to a positive feasibility assessment, the parties intend to construct the facility at a Bristol site for research commissioned by QLE. The company has developed the UK programme in consultation with government and regulatory bodies including the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.

Quantum Leap Energy appoints former TerraPower and Kairos Power engineer as chief technology officer

Quantum Leap Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of ASP Isotopes Inc., has appointed Nate Salpeter as chief technology officer. Salpeter brings over 15 years of experience in physics-constrained energy technology optimisation and computational frameworks for nuclear energy systems. Salpeter previously served as the first fluid dynamicist at both TerraPower and Kairos Power, where he developed computational fluid dynamics and modelling methods. He has also worked on TerraPower's Traveling Wave Reactor and Natrium project, and served as a consortium-wide technical lead for a US Department of Energy-funded programme. At Quantum Leap Energy, Salpeter will focus on optimising the company's existing technologies, implementing rapid learning cycles, and establishing computational and experimental frameworks to advance its clean energy technologies and commercial goals.

ASP Isotopes subsidiary forms nuclear fuel advisory board with industry veterans

ASP Isotopes has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Quantum Leap Energy has established a Strategic Advisory Board, appointing nuclear industry leaders Mary Lou Dunzik-Gougar and Kevin Kramer as initial members. The board will guide QLE's efforts to address gaps in the nuclear fuel cycle for advanced reactors and fusion systems. QLE is developing proprietary technologies for the nuclear fuel cycle, emphasising modular, scalable designs with advanced materials and automation to reduce costs and enhance safety. The company plans to leverage ASPI's isotope separation technologies, including the Aerodynamic Separation Process and Quantum Enrichment process, for isotopic products critical to nuclear fuel production. QLE has established strategic partnerships with industry leaders including TerraPower, Fermi America and South Africa's Necsa to commercialise isotopes essential for next-generation nuclear energy systems.

ASP Isotopes' Quantum Leap Energy sets up global HQ in Austin, eyes Texas HALEU production facility

ASP Isotopes has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Quantum Leap Energy (QLE), will establish its global headquarters in Austin, Texas. The company, which focuses on advancing technologies across the nuclear fuel cycle, plans to build significant operational presence in the state. QLE intends to work with Fermi America on a joint venture to develop a high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU) enrichment facility in Amarillo, Texas, alongside a commercial facility for stable isotopes and advanced nuclear materials production. The move comes as the US Department of Energy estimates the country will need 50 metric tonnes of HALEU annually by 2035, rising to 500 metric tonnes by 2050. QLE uses proprietary Aerodynamic Separation Process and Quantum Enrichment technologies to address supply chain gaps for advanced nuclear reactors and fusion systems.
