Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a business-related field of study is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the restructuring industry plus client-side experience is required.
  • An in-depth understanding of financial or independent business reviews, corporate recovery, restructuring, debt advisory, turnaround, workout, sell-side advisory, distressed asset disposal, insolvency, exit strategy, liquidation, receivership, and bankruptcy services is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead teams addressing corporate recovery, restructuring, exit strategies, non-performing or distressed investments, and insolvency; manage project teams hands-on, direct team members, and manage outside professionals and client personnel involved in engagements.
  • Apply project management skills to scope projects, establish appropriate priorities, develop and execute implementation plans, and meet client expectations.
  • Analyze client business plans, debt capacity, competitive positioning and strategy, key contracts and relationships, and regulatory considerations.
  • Develop turnaround strategies with contingencies to assist client initiatives and identify and evaluate potential restructuring and financing alternatives.
  • Apply operational business experience, accounting, finance, and analytical skills to client situations and practice disciplines, including asset identification and monetization, creditor negotiation and settlement, financial modeling, financial statement and projection assessments, business plan evaluations, and project management.
  • Drive development of integrated financial models and projections, cash flow forecasts, business plans, financial models, and other supporting materials as needed.
  • Perform financial reviews and provide implementation services for liquidations, bankruptcy, and receiverships.
  • Lead business development efforts by initiating and managing marketing activity.
  • Prepare reports, written analyses, presentations, quantitative exhibits, and other client deliverables concerning project scope or results of work performed.
  • Lead, mentor, and professionally develop team members; participate in career advisory and performance review processes; provide guidance and direction to associates developing intricate financial models and other analyses.

Armanino acquires HCM consultancy Sability to strengthen workforce management capabilities

Armanino, a San Ramon-based accounting and consulting firm, has acquired Sability, an Atlanta-based human capital management and workforce management consulting firm. Founded in 1992, Sability serves 3,500 organisations across healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, retail, and professional services in North America and globally, with a team of over 100 consultants. The acquisition strengthens Armanino's capabilities in HCM strategy, UKG implementation, and managed payroll services. Sability leaders Rob Leonard, James Shryock, and Kathy Kruse will join Armanino as partners. Armanino has approximately 2,500 people across 30 offices in the US, Canada, and India, with annual revenue of $700 million. Canaccord Genuity served as exclusive adviser to Sability on the transaction.

Armanino names Anthony Sciarra as partner-in-charge of national tax practice

Armanino, a top 20 US accounting and consulting firm, has appointed Anthony Sciarra as Partner-in-Charge of Tax, effective 1 June. Armanino acquires MSTiller to expand Southeast presence with 110-person team

Armanino, the San Ramon-based accounting firm ranked 18th on Accounting Today's 2025 Top 100 Firms list, has acquired MSTiller to expand its presence in the Southeast. The acquisition adds 10 partners and approximately 110 employees across four offices. MSTiller advises middle-market organisations, family-owned businesses and private foundations across industries including automotive dealerships, construction, hospitality and real estate development. The firm had a longstanding relationship with Armanino through the Moore Global network. Armanino reported $716 million in revenue with 262 partners and roughly 2,700 employees across 22 offices.
