AEG & Fundamental Partner to bring NEXUS to socal venues. 9th October 2026 Fundamental, an AI company whose Large Tabular Model ("LTM"), NEXUS is reimagining enterprise decision-making, and AEG, the world's leading sports and live entertainment company, have announced a new partnership spanning two of AEG's signature Southern California properties. The agreement names Fundamental an Official Partner of the six-time MLS Cup Champion LA Galaxy and L.A. LIVE, AEG's 4-million-square-foot sports and entertainment district in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, the partnership will bring NEXUS, Fundamental's Large Tabular Model (LTM), to key areas of each property's commercial business to help generate predictive insights and inform smarter decision-making. Unlike Large Language Models (LLMs), which are built to understand and generate text, NEXUS is purpose-built for tabular data: the rows and columns of structured business records that sit behind ticketing, marketing, and partnership decisions at every major sports and entertainment brand. Where most organizations look at that data to explain what already happened, NEXUS is built to help anticipate what may be coming next, identifying patterns that can inform areas such as fan engagement, marketing, and partnership strategy. Both the LA Galaxy and L.A. LIVE will put NEXUS to work across ticketing, marketing, and partnership strategy, giving each organization a live, forward-looking view of the patterns already sitting in their own data. NEXUS will also be the presenting sponsor of the Coachella Valley Invitational, the largest pre-season professional soccer tournament in the United States, featuring 20 teams from across Major League Soccer (MLS) and National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). "Sports and live entertainment businesses move fast, and the organizations that win are the ones that see what's coming before it happens," said Fundamental CEO Jeremy Fraenkel. "NEXUS was built to find the value hiding inside structured data that previously looked unpredictable. Through this partnership, we have an opportunity to work alongside the LA Galaxy and L.A. LIVE to show what a foundation model built for tabular data, not text, can do for an industry built on split-second decisions." "We're constantly looking for new ways to deepen our understanding of our fans and set the Galaxy up for long-term growth," said Tom Braun, President and Chief Operating Officer, LA Galaxy. " We look forward to putting NEXUS to work, and we see real potential for it to inform how we engage fans, build partnerships, and grow the club." "This partnership is built to deliver real value on both sides while introducing Fundamental's technology to the global sports and entertainment industry, and it opens the door to joint thought leadership on where AI and prediction are taking this business next," said Nick Baker, President and COO of AEG Global Partnerships. "It's a partnership that came together through the collaboration and vision of teams on both sides, including Rashid Dadashi, vice president of AEG Global Partnerships, and Richard McBeath, head of marketing at Fundamental, and we are all incredibly excited about the impact we can create together." The partnership marks Fundamental's entry into professional sports and live entertainment, extending NEXUS's reach beyond the energy, shipping, and manufacturing sectors where it already runs in production today. Founded in 2024 by alumni of JPMorgan, Bridgewater, and DeepMind, Fundamental has built a growing base of enterprise contracts for NEXUS spanning demand forecasting, price prediction, and customer churn.
SGV Habitat expands its reach through music, partnerships and community. San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity had an exciting opportunity to connect with a new audience on Saturday, August 22nd, when Just Like Heaven Fest took place at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. Through a partnership with AEG and Be the People, Michael Bridges, Senior Director of Development, represented SGV Habitat at the music festival, continuing its outreach and introducing its mission to festivalgoers who may not yet be familiar with its work. The invitation comes at an especially meaningful time in its growing relationship with Be the People. Recently, SGV Habitat hosted a highly successful volunteer build day with the organization, bringing together a diverse group of volunteers - including artists who helped sponsor the highly visible and successful Concert for Altadena this past January. These artists have continued to support its mission by helping spread the word about SGV Habitat and its work to their own audiences and communities. Partnerships like these are helping SGV Habitat amplify the SGV Habitat mission beyond its traditional circles. By connecting with artists, music fans, community leaders and new groups of volunteers and donors, SGV Habitat is expanding awareness of the need for affordable housing throughout the San Gabriel Valley and the many ways people can get involved. Events such as Just Like Heaven Fest give SGV Habitat the chance to meet people where they are, share its story and build relationships that can grow into lasting support. SGV Habitat is grateful to Be the People for opening these doors and helping SGV Habitat expand its horizons, reach new audiences and inspire more people to join SGV Habitat in building stronger communities and brighter futures for local families.
AEG volunteers join KYCC to revitalize Koreatown through neighborhood beautification initiative. Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to strengthening local communities, AEG, the world's leading sports and live entertainment company, partnered with the Koreatown Youth and Community Center (KYCC) to mobilize more than 30 employee volunteers for a neighborhood beautification and graffiti removal project in Los Angeles' Koreatown district. Held on Aug. 26, the volunteer initiative focused on removing graffiti from public spaces surrounding Seoul International Park and neighboring corridors, helping create cleaner, safer and more welcoming environments for residents, families and local businesses. Working alongside KYCC staff, AEG volunteers received training before participating in hands-on cleanup efforts that directly supported the nonprofit organization's ongoing community revitalization programs The volunteer project was supported by AEG Global Partnerships' Inclusion Council (GPIC), an employee-led group focused on fostering a more inclusive, connected and equitable culture across the organization. Through volunteer opportunities like the KYCC beautification project, GPIC empowers employees to contribute to meaningful causes while supporting stronger, more connected communities. The effort underscores the important role corporate volunteers can play in supporting local quality-of-life initiatives. According to KYCC, prompt graffiti removal helps deter repeat vandalism while fostering a greater sense of community ownership and neighborhood pride. Through partnerships like this, organizations can contribute to creating public spaces where communities can thrive. "Strong communities are built through collaboration," said Brynne Kuntz, Sr. Director of Creative Design, AEG Global Partnerships. "By partnering with organizations like KYCC, our employees have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in neighborhoods where we live and work while supporting efforts that promote civic pride and community well-being." The volunteer project is part of AEG's broader corporate social responsibility strategy focused on community engagement, employee volunteerism and investing in programs that create lasting local impact. The event also builds upon AEG's longstanding partnership with KYCC, which has brought together employees and community members over the years to support neighborhood improvement projects and expand opportunities for residents across Los Angeles. As businesses increasingly seek ways to engage employees in purpose-driven initiatives, partnerships between corporate volunteers and community-based organizations continue to demonstrate how collective action can help address local challenges while creating stronger, more connected neighborhoods.
Archer Aviation and AEG plan to unveil an air taxi at LA Live on Monday and construct downtown Los Angeles's first vertiport ahead of the 2028 Olympics. The Santa Cruz-based aviation company aims to enable passengers to travel across the city in 10 to 20 minutes aboard its Midnight aircraft, turning hour-long commutes into short all-electric flights. Archer's planned Los Angeles network will include SoFi Stadium, USC, and Hollywood Burbank Airport, with Hawthorne Airport serving as its central hub. The companies have completed an initial feasibility study for the LA Live site, covering land use, airspace reviews, power availability, and community impact. The next phase examining operational approach and guest experience is underway. Competitor Joby Aviation showcased its electric air taxi in September 2024, also targeting a 2028 Olympics launch in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles is planning a downtown air taxi hub ahead of the 2028 Olympics. Aug 24, 2026 Los Angeles could soon have a new way to beat some of its notorious traffic. AEG and Archer Aviation announced Monday, Aug. 24, plans to develop a new electric air taxi vertiport at L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles. If completed, the project would become the first announced vertiport in downtown Los Angeles and add a major entertainment destination to Archer's planned air taxi network. The announcement comes less than two years before Los Angeles hosts the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, when transportation will be a major concern for visitors moving between venues across the region. L.A. LIVE could become a launch point for air taxis. The planned vertiport would be located at L.A. LIVE, the four million square foot sports and entertainment district next to Crypto.com Arena. The area includes major entertainment and hospitality destinations such as Peacock Theater, The Novo and the GRAMMY Museum. It also sits next to the Los Angeles Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena, making the location particularly attractive for fans attending concerts, sporting events and other major gatherings. Under the agreement, Archer would become the exclusive air taxi provider for L.A. LIVE. The companies say the planned location would allow fans, artists and visitors to travel to and from the district aboard Archer's Midnight electric aircraft. Archer wants to cut long L.A. Trips down to minutes. Archer's larger Los Angeles plan is built around short electric flights connecting major destinations around Southern California. The company says its planned network could eventually allow passengers to travel across Los Angeles in roughly 10 to 20 minutes. That could offer a dramatic alternative to ground trips that can take an hour or more when traffic is heavy. The planned network has included locations such as SoFi Stadium, the University of Southern California and Hollywood Burbank Airport. Archer also plans to use Hawthorne Airport as a central operational hub. The concept is straightforward. Instead of sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the 405 or another crowded L.A. freeway, passengers would take off vertically, fly above the city and land at another nearby vertiport. The Midnight aircraft is designed for urban travel. Archer's Midnight is a piloted electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, commonly referred to as an eVTOL. The aircraft is designed for short urban trips rather than traditional airline routes. Archer says Midnight can reach speeds of up to 150 mph and is intended to produce zero operating emissions during flight. The aircraft takes off and lands vertically, allowing it to operate from specially designed vertiports rather than requiring a conventional airport runway. That feature is especially important in Los Angeles, where finding space for traditional aviation infrastructure in dense urban areas can be difficult. The 2028 Olympics are a major part of the plan. The timing of the L.A. LIVE announcement is no coincidence. Archer is the official air taxi provider of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Team USA. Its planned Los Angeles network is expected to connect several locations that will be important during the Games. Downtown Los Angeles is expected to play an important role during the Olympics and Paralympics, making L.A. LIVE a potentially valuable location for the company's future network. The new vertiport could eventually give visitors another transportation option while the city deals with the enormous crowds expected for the Games. The project is still in development. For anyone hoping to book an air taxi ride through downtown Los Angeles right away, there is still a wait. AEG and Archer have completed an initial feasibility study covering land use, airspace, electrical power availability and potential community impacts. The companies said the next phase is focused on the operational approach and passenger experience. The project therefore remains a development plan rather than an operating transportation service. The companies have not announced a public launch date for the L.A. LIVE vertiport. Los Angeles could become a showcase for electric flight. The planned L.A. LIVE location gives Archer something bigger than another landing site. It puts the company's electric aircraft directly in the middle of one of America's best known sports and entertainment districts. That could make the location a high profile showcase for electric air travel as Los Angeles prepares for a string of major events. The city is already preparing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl LXI in 2027 and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Archer has been positioning its planned air taxi network around those events and the long term transportation needs of Southern California. Archer aircraft will be displayed at L.A. LIVE. To mark Monday's announcement, Archer planned to display its Midnight aircraft at L.A. LIVE on Aug. 24 and Aug. 25. The aircraft is also being shown with a special Team USA livery as Archer promotes its role ahead of the LA28 Games. For Los Angeles residents, the display offers a glimpse at what could become a familiar sight around the city if the company's air taxi plans move forward. A new way to think about getting around L.A. Los Angeles has long been associated with freeways, traffic jams and long commutes. Electric air taxis could eventually add an entirely different layer to the city's transportation system. The planned L.A. LIVE vertiport is still a project in development, but its location shows how companies are looking beyond traditional airports as they prepare for the next generation of urban transportation. If Archer's broader network comes together as planned, getting across Los Angeles for a major game, concert or event could eventually mean taking to the skies instead of spending another hour stuck on the freeway.
